The paper examines the issues of improving the rotor units by means of using support units with actively changeable characteristics. An overview of the known solutions related to the use of active bearings in various types of turbomachinery is provided. A closer look is given at the design and features of active radial bearings, the main elements of which are fluid film bearings. The results of mathematical modeling of active hybrid bearings are presented. The prospects of the use of this type of supports to improve the dynamic characteristics of rotating machinery, including reducing vibrations caused by various factors, are analyzed. Promising directions of development of active bearings are considered, which primarily involves the modification of system components and rotor motion control system algorithms, including intelligent technologies and artificial intelligence methods.

This paper describes the design and the execution of a speed control system for a rotary hydraulic actuator by using solenoid valves. The design is to control the rotational velocity (or the speed) of a hydraulic motor without using neither a variable hydraulic pump nor a variable hydraulic motor.  With analysis by the simulation using the package, V 4.2p/1.67 of FluidSIM 4 from FESTO. It is possible to predict the output of the rotational velocity (rpm) and next could take the right decision about the correct specifications of the system components to meet the requirements.

Abstract This paper addresses the problem of detecting multiple faults for the longitudinal control system of an automated vehicle. An existing fault diagnostic system which can isolate all single faults is extended to the diagnosis of multiple faults via improved residual processing in the form of fuzzy logic. The new diagnostic system is shown to correctly detect and isolate all single and multiple faults in a subset of the automated vehicle control system components.

Aiming at the problem of MIG welding and considering the existing analog control wire feed system has the disadvantages of low response speed, low control accuracy and poor stability. This thesis designs a set of digital control wire feed system based on LPC2132 microprocessor and introduces the control principle of wire feed motor, CAN bus interface circuit and PID control algorithm. Under the condition of power grid voltage fluctuation and load change, we do a lot of experiments. The results show that: the wire feed change rate of designed system is very small, which not only meets the requirements of JB/T-1998.MIG/MAG arc welding standard, but also greatly improves the accuracy and stability of control system.
