Abstract Pneumosinus dilatans is a rare disease characterized by air-filled expansion of a paranasal sinus. Approximately 134 cases are reported in the literature, but not only one associated with infantile cerebral palsy (ICP) and nasal polyposis. We herein present this case report aimed to further characterize this uncommon condition: a 28-year-old female diagnosed with infantile cerebral palsy and nasal polyposis, in whom the cranio-facial CT scan revealed the association of a pneumosinus dilatans involving the frontal sinus. The patient is currently undergoing a protocol for endoscopic surgery of the nose and paranasal sinuses.

AbstractIntroduction:Verrucous carcinoma is a variant of well differentiated squamous cell carcinoma characterised by an exophytic, warty growth which is slowly but locally invasive and which can cause extensive local destruction if left untreated.Case report:We report the first known case of veruccous carcinoma of the paranasal sinuses with rapid orbital invasion. A 58-year-old man presented with right-sided nasal obstruction, a huge right intranasal lesion, intractable dacryocystitis and cutaneous involvement of the nasolacrimal sac region. The tumour was partially removed using an endoscopic transnasal approach. Post-operatively, and while waiting for the histological result, the patient developed signs of rapid invasion of the orbit, with uniocular visual acuity deficit. He underwent combined radiochemotherapy, with a moderate response.Conclusion:Knowledge of the potentially aggressive nature of verrucous carcinoma may be helpful in early management of intraorbital invasion and salvaging of the eye.

Invasive aspergillosis of the paranasal sinuses is a rare and often misdiagnosed disease. This study reported a case of max- illary aspergillosis with a complete  headache and eye pain after tooth extraction with a large abscess in the relative jaw. Tenderness in the right temporal, lower jaw numbness and right eye proptosis was found. Histopathological examination was the suggestion of maxillary sinusitis with a fungal ball of aspergillus.
