In studies of army ants on Barro Colorado Island, Canal Zone, Panama, C. W. Rettenmeyer collected two new species of Euryomma in association with colonies of Eciton burchelli (Westw.). Adults of both species were collected flying above refuse heaps of the ants, a good series of one was reared, and all stages of the larvae of both were taken in berlese samples of the refuse deposits. Descriptions of all stages of both species, except for the egg and puparium of the rarer species, are presented here. No immature stages of Euryomma spp. have been known previously, nor are there any published data on the life-history and habits of any species of the genus.

Gimmel et al. (2019) recently treated the two fossil taxa of the beetle family Cyclaxyridae (Cucujoidea), a family that is today represented only by two species in New Zealand (Gimmel et al. 2009). Gimmel et al. (2019) synonymized two species from European amber described within the family Phalacridae (Cucujoidea), Stilbus bedovoyi Lyubarsky & Perkovsky, 2011 and Neolitochropus hoffeinsorum Lyubarsky & Perkovsky, 2016, with Neolitochropus bedovoyi (Lyubarsky & Perkovsky, 2011) becoming the valid combination. They treated a total of 13 specimens of this species from across Rovno, Bitterfeld, and Baltic amber deposits, implying a widespread and abundant species in Eocene Europe whose life history, like extant forms, was likely tied to sooty molds (Gimmel et al. 2019).

A new genus and species, Unguitarsonemus paradoxus n. gen., n. sp. and a new species, Pseudotarsonemoides peruviensis n. sp. (Acari: Trombidiformes: Tarsonemidae), are described based on phoretic females collected on bark beetles Phloeotribus pilula and Ph. biguttatus, respectively, from Peru. A key to species of the genus Pseudotarsonemoides is provided.

Namaquaropus niger gen nov. & sp.nov. is described from South Africa. In addition, two new species of the subgenus Jehania Distant of Isometopus Fieber (I. mirus sp. nov. and I. maculipennis sp. nov.), and Paloniella flavicolor sp. nov. are described. With these, the known species of Isometopinae in South Africa now number sixteen.

This paper deals with the systematics of all known Australian Mecoptera. Two new species are described: Austrobittocw anomalus (Austrobittacus is a new genus) and Harpobittacus phaeoscius; and three new subspecies: Harpobittacus australis rubripes, H. tillyardi albatus, and H. t. rubricatus.

Eight new taxa of Eriophyidae mites associated with native trees in the Cupania genus—C. oblongifolia Mart. and C. impressinervia Acev (Sapindaceae)—from the Atlantic Forest in Brazil, are described and illustrated. They include two new genera and two new species of Nothopodinae, Colopodacini (Setibia domatiagena   gen. nov., sp. nov. and Aricolopodos alagoensis gen. nov., sp. nov.), one new genus and two new species of Cecidophyinae, Colomerini (Euryslobos keronidos gen. nov., sp. nov. and Gammaphytoptus cupanius sp. nov.), and one new species of Phyllocoptinae, Tegonotini (Shevtchenkella caboata sp. nov.).

A new genus, Graziasternum gen. nov., with two new species, Graziasternum graziae sp. nov. and Graziasternum joceliae sp. nov. are described. According to external thoracic and genital structures, this new genus is considered to be the closest extant relative known to the genus Placosternum Amyot & Serville. Discussion of its possible phylogenetic position based on structure comparison, with the discussion on the importance of the characteristics of the thoracic sterna, the genital structures with other genera or groups of genera that share similar structures is given. Additionally, the two new species are keyed and illustrated.
