ZusammenfassungVor etwa drei Jahrzehnten wurde der erste Bibliotheksverbund der Schweiz gegründet. Seither hat sich im Bereich der wissenschaftlichen Bibliotheken eine stark diversifizierte Verbundlandschaft entwickelt, deren Sinn und deren Zukunftsfähigkeit seit einigen Jahren intensiv diskutiert wird. Mit dem im Jahr 2015 initiierten nationalen Bibliotheksprojekt Swiss Library Service Platform (SLSP) haben sich Bibliotheken und Hochschuleinrichtungen des ganzen Landes erstmals gemeinsam zum Ziel gesetzt, der wissenschaftlichen Community ein breites Spektrum an Dienstleistungen zu vermitteln, zu unterstützen und selbst anzubieten. Der vorliegende Beitrag blickt zunächst auf die Ausgangslage des Projekts zurück, beschreibt dann die Randbedingungen und die erreichten Ziele der ersten beiden Projektphasen und gibt anschließend einen Ausblick auf die Realisierung, die für die Jahre 2018–2020 vorgesehen ist.

The vision and concept of FOLIO have gained the attention and expectation from libraries. Its open and flexible service platform provides an approach to the realization of the Smart Libraries in the future. On the basis of summarising the needs of Smart Libraries in China, the paper expounds the architecture and ideas of providing smart services based on FOLIO. By analyzing the problems and challenges in the implementation and localization of FOLIO in China, the author points out that the“Chinese Alliance for Library Service Platform”(also called YunHan Alliance) should play a very important role in running the Chinese FOLIO community. It should steward the direction of the community, carry out the minimum open source software application suite, cultivate an open platform ecology, so as to support the new business models for the prosperity of Chinese libraries in the future.

ZusammenfassungDie UZH-Bibliotheken und die Zentralbibliothek haben sich entschieden, mit der Einführung des neuen Bibliothekssystems Alma einen gemeinsamen Weg zu beschreiten. Im Projekt ALPZUG wird die Einführung gemeinsam vorbereitet. Die Zusammenarbeit soll künftig intensiviert und die Arbeitsprozesse optimiert werden. Die UZH-Bibliotheken und die Zentralbibliothek erhoffen sich, dass mit den Dienstleistungen der nationalen Bibliotheksplattform (Swiss Library Service Platform) und der geplanten Reorganisation des universitären Bibliothekswesens Personalressourcen freigespielt werden können, um neue, zukunftsorientierte Bibliotheksangebote für die Angehörigen der Universität Zürich wie auch für die Stadt- und Kantonsbibliotheksbenutzenden aufgebaut werden können.

My library will implement a new library service platform, or LSP, this year. We have had an integrated library system with another vendor for twenty years. I was a rank and file cataloger (special formats) when an RFP was issued for the current system. I did not have input into the selection process and also was not part of the massive data migration effort. While I attended numerous training sessions, I did not prepare documentation or train others. Both my position within my library and our needs for a more sophisticated system and services have changed a great deal in those twenty years.
