In this paper, we establish some point of φ-coincidence and common φ-fixed point results for two self-mappings defined on a metric space via extended CG-simulation functions. By giving an example we show that the obtained results are a proper extension of several well-known results in the existing literature. As applications of our results, we deduce some results in partial metric spaces besides proving an existence and uniqueness result on the solution of system of integral equations.

Following the approach of $F$- contraction introduced by Wardowski \cite{DW}, in this paper, we introduce improved $F$-contraction of rational type in the framework of partial metric spaces and used it to obtain a common fixed point theorem for a pair of self mappings. We show, through example, that improved $F$-contraction is more general than $F$- contraction and guarantees fixed points in those cases where $F$-contraction fails to provide. Moreover, we apply this fixed point result to show the existence of common solution of the system of integral equations.

In the present paper, we adopt the concept of expansive mapping in the context of Gp-metric spaces in a similar manner expansive mapping in metric spaces. Furthermore, we obtain some results on fixed points of expansive type mappings. Also, we prove some common fixed point results for expansive mappings by using the notion of weak compatibility in Gp-metric space. Our results generalize some comparable results in metric spaces and partial metric spaces to Gp-metric spaces. Moreover, some examples are introduced in order to support our new results.

In this paper, by introducing the concept of generalized Ćirić-type weak ( ϕ g , R ) -contraction, we prove some common fixed point results in partial metric spaces endowed with binary relation R . We also deduce some useful consequences showing the usability of our results. Finally, we present an application to establish the solution of a system of integral equations.

In this manuscript, we introduce a new notion, admissible hybrid Z -contraction that unifies several nonlinear and linear contractions in the set-up of a b-metric space. In our main theorem, we discuss the existence and uniqueness result of such mappings in the context of complete b-metric space. The given result not only unifies the several existing results in the literature, but also extends and improves them. We express some consequences of our main theorem by using variant examples of simulation functions. As applications, the well-posedness and the Ulam–Hyers stability of the fixed point problem are also studied.

Harandi [A. A. Harandi, Metric-like spaces, partial metric spaces and fixed points, Fixed Point Theory Appl., 2012 (2012), 10 pages] introduced the notion of metric-like spaces as a generalization of partial metric spaces and studied some fixed point theorems in the context of the metric-like spaces. In this paper, we utilize the notion of the metric-like spaces to introduce and prove some common fixed points theorems for mappings satisfying nonlinear contractive conditions in partially ordered metric-like spaces. Also, we introduce an example and an application to support our work. Our results extend and modify some recent results in the literature.

We give new results of a cyclic generalized weaklyC-contraction in partial metric space. The results of this paper extend, generalize, and improve some fixed point theorems in the literature.
