This study aims to examine the misconceptions that often occur in junior high school students on the concept of geometry based on abstraction level. The research method is qualitative with a case study design. Subjects in this study are 27 students of the 3rd grade of junior high school students, who had to learn all the concepts that will be appeared on the test. Material that will be given on the test of this research is the concept of Triangle, Quadrilateral, Flat Side Geometry and Curved Side Geometry. This research takes a place at one of the junior high schools in Cimahi. The instrument in this study is a diagnostic test (to find out the types of students’ misconception), mathematical abstraction tests (to determine the level of abstraction) and interview rubrics. Misconceptions produced by students are closely related to students’ mathematical abstractions, the higher the level of abstraction ability, the more students away from misconceptions. The topic taken in this study is the topic of basic geometry, the results can be a source of information about the types of misconception that often occur in students, and how the solution so that these misconception do not re-occur.

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine how appropriate this guidebook is for junior high school students. The research used the Inter-Rater Agreement Model, which was tested twice, namely material experts, school counselors and potential users. The results showed that the material expert's index test material expert showed the exponent of 0.94 which means that the training guide has a very high validity. from the prospective users of the calculation results for the expert test index got an index of 1 which means that for training counselors is very high, thus it can be stated that sociodrama techniques can be effective in increasing bullying empathy for junior high school students.

Student difficulties in understanding algebra particularly in factoring is because teachers have not been able to utilize manipulative objects (props) as a medium to narrow nature of mathematical abstraction itself. Props mathematics is a concrete object that can be manipulated, in order to bridge mathematical abstraction. Flip-flops and frond thatch are two things that will serve as a manipulative object in learning algebra. The purpose of this study are: (1) to describe the use of flip-flops and frond thatch as manipulative objects to enhance the ability algebra of junior high school students; and (2) To know the use of manipulative objects flip-flops and frond thatch will reach or not the ability algebra of junior high school reached an average of more than 65. This study is a quantitative study with experimental method. In this study there is only one group of research subjects derived from the 3 school level (low, medium, and high), the experimental group doing mathematics by using manipulative objects. To determine the ability of an algebraic increase to more than 65 will be used t-test. The result showed that the tcount ttable (5:44 1.67), so in this case H0 is rejected. Further in the learning process was also found that the students are very easy in factoring a quadratic equation by using the manipulative objects. The conclusions of this study are: (1) Learning with the use of flip-flops and sago palm frond as manipulative objects to the increased ability of algebra junior high school students has been going well and facilitate student. (2) Learning mathematics algebra material using props from the flip-flops and frond thatch can improve the understanding of junior high school eighth grade on the material algebra reaches an average (μ0) of more than 65.

This study aims to determine the ability to think creatively mathematically junior high school students in Ngamprah village with indicators of students' creative thinking ability used is fluency (fleuncy), flexibility, originality and elaboration. the ability to think mathematically creative is the ability to think that aims to create or find new ideas that are different, unusual, original that brings definite and precise results. This research was conducted to 33 students in one of Junior High School in Ngamprah Village by using qualitative descriptive method. Instrument used in the form of 5 items about the ability of students' mathematical creative thinking on the matter of building a flat side room with interviews to students. The conclusion of this research is the ability of mathematical creative thinking of junior high school students in Ngamprah village is still very low.
