In this work we introduce a modified version of simulation function and define a simulation type contraction mappings involving measure of non-compactness in the frame work of Banach space and derive some basic Darbo type fixed point results. Also, our theorem generalizes the Theorem 4 of [R. Arab, Some generalizations of Darbo fixed point theorem and its application, Miskolc Mathematical Notes, 18(2)(2017),595-610.] and extend some recent results. Further we show the applicability of obtained results to the theory of integral equations followed by two concrete examples.

AbstractIn this article, we provide the existence result for functional integral equations by using Petryshyn’s fixed point theorem connecting the measure of noncompactness in a Banach space. The results enlarge the corresponding results of several authors. We present fascinating examples of equations.

An algebraic fixed point theorem involving the three operators in a Banach algebra is proved using the properties of cones and they are further applied to a certain nonlinear integral equations of mixed type x(t)=k(t,x(μ(t)))+[f(t,x(θ(t)))](q(t)+∫0σ(t)v(t,s)g(s,x(η(s)))ds) for proving the existence of maximal and minimal solutions. Our results include the earlier fixed point theorems of Dhage (1992 and 1999) as special cases with a different but simple method.

AbstractWe investigate the solutions of functional-integral equation of fractional order in the setting of a measure of noncompactness on real-valued bounded and continuous Banach space. We introduce a new μ-set contraction operator and derive generalized Darbo fixed point results using an arbitrary measure of noncompactness in Banach spaces. An illustration is given in support of the solution of a functional-integral equation of fractional order.

In the present paper, utilizing the techniques of suitable measures of noncompactness in Banach algebra, we prove an existence theorem for nonlinear functional-integral equation which contains as particular cases several integral and functional-integral equations that appear in many branches of nonlinear analysis and its applications. We employ the fixed point theorems such as Darbo?s theorem in Banach algebra concerning the estimate on the solutions. We also provide a nontrivial example that explains the generalizations and applications of our main result.

In this paper, we present a result about the existence of a generalized coupled fixed point in the space C[0, 1]. Moreover, as an application of the result, we study the problem of existence and uniqueness of solution in C[0, 1] for a general system of nonlinear functional-integral equations with maximum.

Using the technique of a suitable measure of non-compactness and the Darbo fixed point theorem, we investigate the existence of a nonlinear functional integral equation of Urysohn type in the space of Lebesgue integrable functions Lp(RN). In this space, we show that our functional-integral equation has at least one solution. Finally, an example is also discussed to indicate the natural realizations of our abstract result.

In this paper, we prove theorems on the existence of solutions in Lp(R+), 1 ? p < ?, for some functional integral equations. The basic tool used in the proof is the fixed point theorem due to Darbo with respect to so called measure of noncompactness. The obtained results generalize and extend several ones obtained earlier in many papers and monographs. An example which shows the applicability of our results is also included.
