Opuntia soederstromiana is recorded in Colombia for the first time. Botanical explorations were carried out in eastern Colombia sub-xerophytic enclaves, as well as examination of specimens deposited at the herbaria AZUAY, COL, GH, NY, QCA, QCNE, UPTC, and US was made. Lectotypes for the names O. dobbieana (here treated as heterotypic synonym of O. soederstromiana) and O. soederstromiana are designated on specimens preserved at US and NY. A detailed and expanded morphological description of O. soederstromiana, as well as data about type, habitat, conservation status, selected iconographies, and distribution area were given. The number of Opuntia species recorded in Colombia has increased to 10. A key for identification of Opuntia species occurring in the departments of Boyacá and Santander (Colombia) was also provided.

A macrofungus collected from Akbelen village in Tokat has been identified based on molecular evidence and morphology as Cortinarius rapaceoides, a new record from Turkey. Sequence data generated from the nuclear ribosomal internal transcribed spacer and ribosomal large subunit regions were deposited in GenBank and used to determine phylogenetic relationships within Cortinarius subg. Phlegmacium. A morphological description, illustrations, and phylogeny of the Turkish C. rapaceoides are provided.

Rhus chinensis Mill. (Anacardiaceae) has been reported as a new record for the flora of Turkey. Detailed morphological description and leaf anatomical properties are provided. Capitate glandular and nonglandular trichomes, and also epicuticle hairs have been observed in the leaf surfaces of R. chinensis. Despite having been first published in 1941, Carya poilanei (Chev.) Leroy is only known from two original collections in Vietnam and Laos; however, it has not been recollected since then and long suspected to be extinct by repeated deforestation events. Here, we report the rediscovery, and meanwhile the first new record in China, of this extremely rare gigantic hickory species at Yunnan province after 80 years. Three small patchy subpopulations were found with a total of about 50 adult trees have diameter at breast height (DBH) larger than 60 cm, together with some seedlings and saplings, but the fruit set was low. Based on multiple fresh materials, we present a revised morphological description of C. poilanei, and an updated distribution map for the species. In addition, we also provided a key for the hickories in China. Lastly, we suggest C. poilanei should be listed as Critically Endangered (CR) or Endangered (EN) species according to the latest IUCN Red List Categories and Criteria.

Epipogium taiwanense, is published in the book of Illustrated Flora of Taiwan in 2018. However, here only the specimen and simply descriptions were existed on which the protologue was based. Plant and flowers characteristics were not described in enough detail in the original description. Fortunately, it was rediscovered from Yunnan and Sichuan Province, China. It is morphological similar to E. aphyllum, but it can be easily distinguished from the latter by having large size flower bract (2.0 × 1.0 cm, significantly longer than pedicel and ovary), epichile of labellum concave with 1 longitudinal ridge on mid-lobe and the spur strongly recurve in the apex connecting with bottom of mid-lobe. A preliminary risk-of-ex­tinction assessment, according to the IUCN Red List Categories and Criteria, is given for the newly recorded species.

Two Brassicaceae novelties are reported from Iran. Erysimum hezarense (Erysimeae) is described and illustrated as a newly discovered species. It resembles E. subulatum, E. laxiflorum and E. iraqense but can be readily distinguished by the indumentum of stem, leaves and pedicels; bicolor petals; and number of flowers on the main inflorescence. It is also separated geographically being restricted to Hezar mts. (prov. Kerman, South Iran) where none of the related species occurs. Because of the very limited distribution and high risk of its habit destruction, inclusion of E. hezarense into IUCN Red List with a status vulnerable (VU) is proposed. Besides, Rhammatophyllum gaudanense (Euclidieae) is reported from NE Iran representing the first record of the genus for the country. Contrary, the previous record of R. gaudanense from Afghanistan is considered doubtful and not confirmed. Detailed morphological description, illustration and synonymy of R. gaudanense is provided along with the key differences from the closely related taxa. Distribution maps for both E. hezarense and R. gaudanense are given.

This study was recorded a new genus and species of Iraq, Tephrosia nubica (Boiss.) Baker during the field trips in the Western Desert District, specifically in Al- Walaj valley, which cutting the Iraq- Jordan highway (75 km. West of Rutba) in winter and spring seasons of the year 2019. The species was identified depending on Flora of neighboring and nearby countries with a comprehensive morphological description as well as some drawing and photos for vegetative and floral (reproductive) parts with a distribution map of the species. Some plant samples of the species collected in the Iraqi national herbarium were deposited in numbers 60038,60039, and 60040, in addition to Anbar University herbarium in numbers 4329, 4330 and 4331 after confirming that there is no specimens of genus and species in all Iraqi herbaria.
