In the present work, undoped CdS and doped with iron CdS:Fe+3 thin films have been prepared by chemical spray pyrolysis method on glass substrate with different temperature from cadmium nitrate solution with constant thickness(450 ± 5 nm), and study the effect of the percentage of doping with iron on optical properties of prepared films. The optical properties have been studied from transmittance and absorbance spectral within wavelengths range (380-900 nm). The results showed that all the prepared films has direct electronic transitions and optical energy gap between (2.31-2.44 eV). They also showed that the transmittance and optical energy gap of films prepared from nitrate solution increase with increasing of substrate temperature, then transmittance start downward with the continued increase in temperature (400, 450 oC), and a decrease in the optical energy gap with increasing doping percentage with iron.

This study aims to prepare Cadmium Sulphide (CdS) thin films using thermal Chemical Spray Pyrolysis (CSP) on glass of different temperatures substrate from cadmium nitrate solution. Constant thickness was (430 ± 20 nm) and the effect of substrate temperature on the optical properties of prepared thin films. Optical properties have been studied from transmittance and absorbance spectral within wavelengths range (360 - 900 nm). The results show that all the prepared films have a direct electron transitions and optical energy gap between (2.31-2.44 eV). They also show that the transmittance and optical energy gap of films prepared from nitrate solution increase with increasing of substrate temperature, then transmittance start downward with the continued increase in temperature (400, 450) oC.

Thin films of pure tin mono-sulfide SnS and tin mono-sulfide for (1,2,3,4)% fluorine SnS:F with Thicknesses of (0.85 ±0.05) ?m and (0.45±0.05) ?m respectively were prepared by chemical spray pyrolysis technique. the effect of doping of F on structural and optical properties has been studied. X-Ray diffraction analysis showed that the prepared films were polycrystalline with orthorhombic structure. It was found that doping increased the intensity of diffraction peaks. Optical properties of all samples were studied by recording the absorption and transmission spectrum in range of wave lengths (300-900) nm. The optical energy gap for direct forbidden transition and indirect allowed transition were evaluated It is found that for doping less than 2% the optical energy gap increases as the percentage of doping increases in the samples while for doping more than 2% the values of the optical energy gap decreases as the percentage of doping increases.

Mixed Fe2O3 - NiO thin films have been prepared by chemical Spray pyrolysis technique onto glass substrate preheated to 450 °C. The thickness of thin films was found to be (400 ±20) nm. XRD measurements reveal that all the film exhibit polycrystalline hexagonal wrutzite with a preferred orientation along (104) plane for pure and 10 % and 20 % Ni, while for the rest the structure was amorphous. AFM analysis indicate a nanostructure for all the films. The optical energy gap was found to be increased from optical transitions seems to be direct and the optical energy gap seems to be increased from 2.5 to 2.69 eV as the percentage of NiO increase.

Cobalt Ferrite CoFe2O4 thin films have been deposited by chemical spray pyrolysis method (CSP) on glass substrates at different substrate temperatures (300, 350, 400 and 450°C) with an interval of (50°C) using Cobalt Nitrate and Ferric Nitrate as Cobalt and Iron sources respectively, at thickness (400±20) nm. The effect of substrate temperatures change on the optical properties for all prepared films was studied. The optical properties for all the films were studied by recording the transmittance and absorbance spectrum in the range of (300-900) nm. The results showed decreases in transmittance and increases in absorbance with increasing the substrate temperatures. the optical energy gap for allowed direct electronic transition was calculated and it was found that decreases with increasesing the substrate temperatures (2.40-2.22 eV), the Urbach energy increases with increasesing the substrate temperatures and it is values range between (634.6-700.5) meV. The optical constants (absorption coefficient, refractive index, extinction coefficient, real and imaginary parts of dielectric constant and optical conductivity) as a function of photon energy for all prepared films were calculated.

The properties of structural and optical of pure and doped nano titanium dioxide (TiO2) films, prepared using chemical spray pyrolysis (CPS) technique, with different nanosize nickel oxide (NiO) concentrations in the range (3-9)wt% have been studied. X-Ray diffraction (XRD) technique where using to analysis the structure properties of the prepared thin films. The results revealed that the structure properties of TiO2 have polycrystalline structure with anatase phase. The parameters, energy gap, extinction coefficient, refractive index, real and imaginary parts were studied using absorbance and transmittance measurements from a computerized ultraviolet visible spectrophotometer (Shimadzu UV-1601 PC) in the wavelengths range (300-800)nm. Optical properties of TiO2 affected by the adding of NiO impurity where the transmittance increased as NiO concentration increased but with more adding the transmittance returned to decrease again. It was found the extinction coefficient, refractive index, real and imaginary parts values decreased with increasing doping percentage up to 7% and then increases occur one more again at 9%. Energy gap values increased after doping with NiO where the values lies in the range was 3.31 to 3.51 eV .

In this research Bi2S3 thin films have been prepared on glass substrates using chemical spray pyrolysis method at substrate temperature (300oC) and molarity (0.015) mol. Structural and optical properties of the thin films above have been studied; XRD analysis demonstrated that the Bi2S3 films are polycrystalline with (031) orientation and with Orthorhombic structure. The optical properties were studied using the spectral of the absorbance and transmission of films in wavelength ranging (300-1100) nm. The study showed that the films have high transmission within the range of the visible spectrum. Also absorption coefficient, extinction coefficient and the optical energy gap (Eg) was calculated, found that the film have direct energy gap equal to 2.8 eV.
