Abstract The aim of this paper is to present an audiovisual project, named{ carnadocs }, which tries to focus on the evaluation criteria of samba schools in Rio de Janeiro in dialogue with the concept of communicational sustainability. The project analyzes how the dynamism of contemporary multisensory systems can maintain historical data, disseminate information about contemporaneity and provide a process that allows for future updates, favoring their historical, financial, cultural, and social repercussions. Keywords: carnival; Rio de Janeiro; criteria; evaluation; audiovisual.

This paper will evaluate a specific site located in southwestern Virginia, providing design criteria that are important considerations at this site. The evaluation will predict the output from a 6 blade HAWT model at the height and location of the site. As a small scale wind turbine, the process of determination of relevant considerations to establish the turbine selection and output are weighted to establish the evaluation criteria. A review of the specific site conditions are presented in detail. This information includes: three-dimensional topographic review, wind and weather profile of the site and surrounding environmental conditions of the site. With this information the decision path for the specific siting is discussed. Characteristics of the site that will be considered to calculate output are: historical data of wind profile of the region, height of tower, affect of other objects and affect of wind turbulence. A discussion of current modeling options will be compared. The design and components of the small scale wind turbine chosen for this application will be compared to other wind turbines of similar size and cost. Considerations of the turbine that are considered are: size of wind turbine, cost of wind turbine, predictable output of the wind turbine based on design of the various wind turbines, requirements for the tower for each turbine and predicted maintenance for each turbine. Initial performance of the selected turbine will be available by presentation of information.

The purpose of this paper is to consider a practical way to estimate the cost of oil spills from ships within the framework of establishing environmental risk evaluation criteria in International Maritime Organization (IMO). Regression analysis between the cost of oil spills and the weight of oil spilled (oil spill weight) was carried out using historical oil spill data from tankers reported by International Oil Pollution Compensation (IOPC) Funds. A nonlinear regression formula between the cost of oil spills and the oil spill weight is estimated from the historical data, and a critical value of cost to avert one tonne of spilled oil (CATScr) is obtained. CATScr obtained by the present study is compared with that obtained by previous work. This study shows that the cost of oil spills estimated by the present regression formula is in fairly good agreement with the mean value obtained from historical data while the CATScr gives relatively larger costs and shows the upper bound of the cost of oil spills.

Palavras-chave: Modelo de Maturidade; Repositório Digital; Gestão da Qualidade; Ciência Aberta; Repositório Confiável; Princípios FAIR.ABSTRACT Open access to research outcomes and data obtained in Science and Technology production has risen debates about the adoption and use of sharing tools for those outcomes. This research proposes a maturity model that unifies trusted document repositories and data repositories to form a notion of an integrated digital repository, setting this institution on a maturity level regarding these scientific production sharing tools. It also presents studies on these maturity models as ways to evaluate the quality of those data repositories. It adopts the CMMI model as a reference, relating to its respective levels. It presents a study on trustworthy repositories and evaluation criteria and concludes with the incorporation of FAIR principles into the evaluating process. Using a combination of methods to develop its investigation, the research proposes the use of this maturity model to evaluate Rio de Janeiro state repositories. Finally, it proposes the consummation of its results using an evaluation scheme structured in maturity levels, which includes an evaluation method for integrated repositories. Keywords: Maturity Model; Digital Repository; Quality Management; Open Science; Trustworthy Repository; FAIR Principles.

This research aimed to understand the judgments made about students during the teacher’s council in a top rated school at Rio de Janeiro. These meeting is a collective assessment place, exceptionally adequate to perceive through the speeches of the agents how the school classification system is produced and reproduced (Bourdieu). The school attends middle to upper class students. It was observed that the evaluation criteria have academic origin, but are not strictly academic. Cutting class will operate in the kind of attitudes towards school (docility and academic aptitude). The desired profile is middle class students which families adhere more easily to the values and school who have the necessary cultural goodwill. The social selectivity at the school is distinctive selectivity.
