A new species of microzetid oribatid mites of the genus Kalyptrazetes is described from upper soil and leaf litter in the primary evergreen lowland rainforest of Amazonian Peru. Kalyptrazetes bifurcatus Ermilov sp. nov. differs from other representatives of the genus by the morphology of rostral and centroventral epimeral setae and anterior parts of lamellae, the length of some notogastral, epimeral and genital setae, and the absence of an X-structure in the epimeral region. The main generic traits and an identification key to known species of Kalyptrazetes are provided.

A new species of Antarctozetes (Oribatida, Ceratozetoidea) is described from the soil in New Zealand based on adult morphology. Antarctozetes mariehammerae sp. nov. differs from Antarctozetes intermedius (Hammer, 1967) by the short rostral setae, very short stalks of bothridial setae, and bidentate lamellar cusps. A revised generic diagnosis is given, Antarctozetes is maintained in Punctoribatidae, although knowledge of juvenile instars is lacking. The relationship of Antarctozetes, Anellozetes, Africoribates and Kilimabates is discussed. Data on habitat and an identification key to known species of Antarctozetes in New Zealand are provided.

A new species of the genus Belloppia (Oribatida, Oppiidae) is described from New Zealand; Belloppia bella sp. nov. differs from all species of the genus by the presence of a distal row of clear barbs on the bothridial heads and the median part of the tripartite rostrum strongly protruding and distinctly longer than the lateral parts. Supplementary descriptions for two species, Belloppia wallworki Hammer, 1968 and B. shealsi Hammer, 1968 are given based on new material from New Zealand. A revised generic diagnosis and an identification key to known species of Belloppia are presented.

A new species of Eremella Berlese, 1913 (Oribatida, Eremellidae) is described from a termite nest of Cornitermes silvestrii Emerson in Snyder, 1949 (Isoptera, Termitidae) in Brazil. Eremella vazdemelloi sp. nov. differs from Eremella ensifera Balogh and Mahunka, 1968 by the presence of short notogastral setae, the bothridial setae specifically directed posterolaterally, and the absence of tutorial ridges. Revised generic diagnosis and an identification key to known species of Eremella are presented. The taxonomic status of the eremellid genera Licnocepheus Woolley, 1969, Triteremella Kunst, 1971 and Afreremella Mahunka, 1973 are discussed, resulting in the following new taxonomic proposals: Eremella (=Licnocepheus syn. nov.), Eremella (=Triteremella syn. nov.), Eremella reticulatus (Woolley, 1969) comb. nov. (from Licnocepheus), Eremella simpliseta (Mahunka, 2011) comb. nov. (from Triteremella). Also, the generic status of Afreremella and Archeremella Balogh and Mahunka, 1974, and initial systematic placement of Afreremella luisiae Mahunka, 1973, Eremella kaszabi Csiszár, 1962 and Eremella matildebellae Mahunka and Palacios-Vargas, 1995 are supported.

A list of identified oribatid mite taxa from Uganda, including 21 species/subspecies from 17 genera and 14 families, is presented. A new species of the family Machadobelbidae is described from leaf litter. Machadobelba ugandaensis sp. nov. differs from Machadobelba barbata Sanyal, Saha & Chakraborty, 2005 and Machadobelba dispar Balogh, 1958 by the presence of one pair of lateral teeth of the rostrum, prodorsal transverse ridge between costulae and foveolate body surface. Revised generic diagnosis and an identification key to the known species of Machadobelba are presented.

A new species of the genus Hardybodes (Oribatida, Carabodidae) is described from the nest of an unknown species of ants (Formicidae) in soil in Luzon Island, Philippines. Hardybodes minutus n. sp. differs from all species of the genus by the localization of notogastral setae (lm and h2 inserted in the same longitudinal rowdorsocentrally together with da, dm, dp, lp and h1 versus lm and h2 in dorsolateral positions and da, dm, dp, lp and h1 inserted in dorsocentral positions in the other species). Revised generic diagnosis and an identification key to the four known species of Hardybodes are presented.
