AbstractIn the present paper we establish some theorems on the existence of common approximate fixed points for a pair of generalized contractive type mappings with the property that the diameter of the set of common ∈−fixed points is tending to zero as ∈ tends to zero.

We define a new property which contains the property (EA) for a hybrid pair of single- and multivalued maps and give some new common fixed point theorems under hybrid contractive conditions. Our results extend previous ones. As an application, we give a partial answer to the problem raised by Singh and Mishra.

The aim of this paper is to obtain a fixed point theorem for a sequence of mappings satisfying a Lipschitz type condition. As compared to the analogous results, some mappings of the present theorem need not satisfy any noncommutativity conditions and therefore our results generalize a number of well-known fixed point theorems in the existing literature.

Coincidence and common fixed point theorems for certain new classes of nearly densifying mappings are established. Our results extend, improve, and unify a lot of previously known theorems.

AbstractIn this paper, we give some common fixed point theorems for a class of occasionally weakly compatible mappings satisfying contractive conditions of integral type. Our results generalize a host of previously theorems. We also present some illustrative examples which support our main results and show the applicability and validity of these results.

The present paper is aimed at obtaining common fixed point theorems for a pair of selfmaps satisfying nonexpansive or Lipschitz type condition by using the notion of pointwise R- weak commutativity but without assuming the completeness of the space or continuity of the mappings involved. In this paper, we discuss the concepts of fuzzy hybrid fixed points, ofg-Φ-contractive type fuzzy mappings and common fuzzy hybrid fixed point theorems of a sequence of fuzzy mappings. Our theorems improve and generalize the corresponding recent important results.

We obtain some new common fixed point theorems satisfying a weak contractive condition in the framework of partially ordered metric spaces. The main result generalizes and extends some known results given by some authors in the literature.

Abstract Let K be a non-empty closed subset of a Banach space X endowed with a graph G. We obtain fixed point theorems for nonself G-contractions of Chatterjea type. Our new results complement and extend recent related results [Berinde, V., Păcurar, M., The contraction principle for nonself mappings on Banach spaces endowed with a graph, J. Nonlinear Convex Anal. 16 (2015), no. 9, 1925-1936; Balog, L., Berinde, V., Fixed point theorems for nonself Kannan type contractions in Banach spaces endowed with a graph, Carpathian J. Math. 32 (2016), no. 3 (in press)] and thus provide more general and flexible tools for studying nonlinear functional equations.

In this paper, using the concept of w-distance we prove some results on the existence of fixed points for contractive type operators, namely; (α, µ)-ψ-contractive operators. Applications are also presented. Our results improve and generalize a number of known results of fixed point theory including the recent results of Guran and Bota [ Guran, L. and Bota, M.-F., Ulam-Hyers Stability Problems for Fixed Point Theorems concerning α-ψ-Type Contractive Operators on KST-Spaces, Submitted in press.] and Ansari [Ansari, A. H. and Shukla, S., Some fixed point theorems for ordered F-(F, h)-contraction and subcontractions in θ-f-orbitally complete partial metric spaces, J. Adv. Math. Stud., 9 (2016), No. 1, 37–53].
