Objective: We analyzed the COVID-19 Open Research Dataset (CORD-19) to understand leading research institutions, collaborations among institutions, major publication venues, key research concepts, and topics covered by pandemic-related research. Methods: We conducted a descriptive analysis of authors’ institutions and relationships, automatic content extraction of key words and phrases from titles and abstracts, and topic modeling and evolution. Data visualization techniques were applied to present the results of the analysis. Results: We found that leading research institutions on COVID-19 included the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the US National Institutes of Health, and the University of California. Research studies mostly involved collaboration among different institutions at national and international levels. In addition to bioRxiv, major publication venues included journals such as The BMJ, PLOS One, Journal of Virology, and The Lancet. Key research concepts included the coronavirus, acute respiratory impairments, health care, and social distancing. The ten most popular topics were identified through topic modeling and included human metapneumovirus and livestock, clinical outcomes of severe patients, and risk factors for higher mortality rate. Conclusion: Data analytics is a powerful approach for quickly processing and understanding large-scale datasets like CORD-19. This approach could help medical librarians, researchers, and the public understand important characteristics of COVID-19 research and could be applied to the analysis of other large datasets.

The life and work of the creators are naturally studied in connection with the historical and literary environment of the period in which he lived. In some places, it is expedient to compare the artists with their contemporaries, and in some places, the attitude of their fans, and vice versa, to give information about their opponents. In order to inform students about the biography of the artist, the teacher will need to study the most important information, use the necessary methodological manuals and literature in order to make the lesson meaningful and interesting. In particular, the use of memoirs written by his contemporaries, architectural works, or memoirs and letters written by the artist about himself, also provides a meaningful lesson. Either the works created by the artist also in some sense complement the information about his personality. Key words and phrases: Alisher Navoi's way of life. Hasbu hol. Architectural work. Memory of contemporaries. Tazkiranavislik. Historical sources. Translation hol. Autobiographical work. Textbook "Literature". Method of teaching and explanation.

Narrative economics holds a vast potential since it can expand the array of questions and data covered by the analysis of economic change. The ideas that narratives contain reflect the actors’ perceptions of the rules structuring recurring interactions. Therefore, analysis of popular narratives can provide valuable insights into the relevant rules and behaviour patterns in their relation to the social context. In this study, we identified the most significant sources containing narratives and selected the most relevant narratives with biographical elements. The biographical method implies that narratives about events and phenomena are examined by looking at the actors’ biographical stories. Our research aims to test the applicability of the biographical method within the narrative economics approach to study the Russian innovation system. The analysis has revealed the most widely spread ideas associated with rules and institutions, such as researchers’ dependence on the funds that the government or companies are willing to invest in their studies. Another problem is the production of the next generation of academic workforce in Russia. We systematized the problem situations linked to the spreading of narratives and found that they are related to the setbacks in the state management of the Russian innovation system. We conducted a qualitative study of narratives combined with quantitative content analysis. The changing frequency of the key words and phrases reflects the dynamics of narratives and shows their ‘viral’ quality. Further analysis and systematization of qualitative data on innovation systems will create a better understanding of complex non-ergodic processes. It would also be productive to analyze official documents on the current rules and institutional development and compare the results with the evidence obtained through the narrative approach.

Aim and Significance: The systematic literature review is developed as an investigation of existing and recommended evidence based social skills and strategies to adopt in improving adolescents with ASD social skills. The systematic review was developed based on the understanding that a majority of the studies have focused on children below 11 years social skills. The need to analsye and establish the age specific social skills and strategies required informed the review development. This ystematic review evaluates the available published studies on group-based social skills interventions in the United States and the realm of Canada to improve the social skills among adolescents with ASD Methods: The systematic review developed an online search for peer reviewed articles published on the Medline, PsycINFO, Psychoarticle, Psychology and behaviour and Web of Science, through a PubMed-NCBI, an EBSCO and the Ovid databases. Key words and phrases were used to search for relevant literature. Once results were obtained, an inclusion and exclusion criteria was applied to narrow down the studies to applicable and most relevant studies. Results and Discussion: Three categories of social skills interventions have been identified to be effective in improving social and communication skills. They are (i) the use of the PEERS, (ii) social skills training group and (iii) group skills training. The recommendation for future research should focus on comparing protocols of various social skills training in clinical settings of the real-world.

Background: From cell phones to aerospace, artificial intelligence (AI) has wide-reaching influence in the modern age. In this review, we discuss the application of AI solutions to an equally ubiquitous problem in cytopathology – thyroid fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB). Thyroid nodules are common in the general population, and FNAB is the sampling modality of choice. The resulting prevalence in the practicing pathologist’s daily workload makes thyroid FNAB an appealing target for the application of AI solutions. Summary: This review summarizes all available literature on the application of AI to thyroid cytopathology. We follow the evolution from morphometric analysis to convolutional neural networks. We explore the application of AI technology to different questions in thyroid cytopathology, including distinguishing papillary carcinoma from benign, distinguishing follicular adenoma from carcinoma and identifying non-invasive follicular thyroid neoplasm with papillary-like nuclear features by key words and phrases. Key Messages: The current literature shows promise towards the application of AI technology to thyroid fine needle aspiration biopsy. Much work is needed to define how this powerful technology will be of best use to the future of cytopathology practice.

We describe how the open-source Learning and Reading Assistant (LARA) platform was used to convert a classic Old Norse text, the Völuspá, into an interactive online form. The LARA version includes high-quality recorded audio, translations, notes on key words and phrases, an automatically generated concordance, and links to other online resources. The interactive text was created in two different editions, one with Modern Icelandic translations designed to support Icelandic school students who read the poem as a set text, and one with English translations designed for English readers with basic Old Norse who wish to able to appreciate the poem in the original as a piece of literature. Initial feedback from groups has been positive.

Kigelia africana has been used in the management of human ailments since time immemorial. Ethnobotanists have documented the traditional uses of K. africana, which include treatment of skin disorders, cancer and gynecological complaints, among others. This has interested scientists, who have examined K. africana plant parts for their bioactivity. This review provides an insightful understanding on the ethnobotany, phytochemistry and pharmacology of K. africana. Web search engines Google and Google Scholar, as well as the databases of PubMed, Scopus, JSTOR, HINARI, SID, AJOL and Springer Link, were exhaustively searched using key words and phrases. Institutional reports and conference papers were also consulted. A total of 125 relevant international literature sources meeting the inclusion criteria were included. Kigelia africana has biologically active phytochemicals, many of which have been isolated. Whilst the fruits are most often cited in pharmacological studies, other plant parts are also used in herbal preparations. Commercially available products have been formulated from K. africana, though many have not been fully standardized. Despite many efforts by researchers to scientifically validate traditional uses of K. africana, many remain merely claims, thus the need to conduct more research, scientifically validate other traditional uses, isolate new bioactive phytochemicals and standardize K. africana products.
