Gastro – intestinal duplications are usually detected in children before 2 years of age due symptoms/complications associated with the condition or during surgery in the child for some unrelated condition. In adults colonic duplication is of rare occurrence and often diagnosed during surgery. However, it may be diagnosed pre operatively due to symptoms of obstruction, volvulus or rarely due to perforation. We present an adult having tubular duplication of ascending colon, that presented with perforation. The duplication had a blind end and did not have distal communication. In addition, it had its own blood supply. The management of the case is discussed. Aetiogenesis of the anomaly is enumerated and literature reviewed. For ascending colon duplication similar meaning word accessory ascending colon has also been used in the manuscript.

Bortezomib, a proteasome inhibitor, is an established therapy against multiple myeloma. Bortezomib-induced lung injury, although not appreciated during the introductory time of the medication, has now been highlighted in multiple case reports. The objective of this study is to report a case of bortezomib-induced lung injury, review current literature, and perform exploratory analysis.

Granulomatous periorificial dermatitis (GPD) is a benign, self-limiting eruption that is considered a clinical variant of periorificial dermatitis, also known as perioral dermatitis. It presents primarily in prepubertal children as monomorphic scaly papules over perioral, paranasal and periorbital areas of the face with rare occurrence in adults. We report a 36-year-old Omani male patient who presented to the Dermatology Clinic at Bahla Polyclinic, Bahla, Oman, in 2018 with a papular eruption over his face for the previous six months. Based on clinical and histopathological findings the patient was diagnosed with GPD with sarcoid-like histology. He was treated effectively with oral doxycycline and topical metronidazole. This report provides a review of the literature on GPD and summarises all reported cases in adults to date. Keywords: Perioral Dermatitis; Dermatitis; Granulomas; Case Report; Oman.

Choledochal cysts (CDC) are cystic dilatations of the biliary system, which are usually found in children and uncommon in adults, and type VI choledochal cyst which is isolated cystic dilatation of the cystic duct is a very rare occurrence and only single case reports are documented in the literature. We have reported a case of a young girl who was diagnosed as having Type VI CDC on pre-operative MRCP and found to have the same intraoperatively. She was treated with a simple cholecystectomy with cyst excision.
