This study aims to find that there is any association between Periodontal diseases with factors like diabetes, depression, blood pressure, age, gender, alcohol, smoking, education level, and obesity. For this study data were taken from National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). From this data various variables are taken and test in SAS 9.4 software for analysis. This study is done on a 3737 sample in which 734 people reported having gum/periodontal disease. Logistic regression analysis was performed with variables. We found a significant association between diabetes, depression, age, smoking, and obesity to have periodontal disease.

Background: The exponential growth in epidemiological studies has been reflected in an increase in analytical studies. Thus, theoretical models are required to guide the definition of data analysis, although so far, they are seldom used in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences. Objective: To propose a multicausal model for oropharyngeal dysphagia using directed acyclic graphs showing mediating variables, confounding variables, and variables connected by direct causation. Design: This integrative literature review. Setting: This was carried out until January 4, 2021, and searches were performed with the MEDLINE, EMBASE,and other bases.

If determined the casuistry of diseases that affect the urinary system in dogs and cats. A retrospective study was carried out at the Veterinary Hospital of the University of San Carlos de Guatemala. It was characterizing patients with diseases of the urinary system. 1,205canine and feline medical records were evaluated in 2019. The variables breed, sex, age, pathology and geographic area were considered. The prevalence of urinary system diseases in dogs and cats in 2019 was 10.45%, 9.21% corresponding to dogs and 1.24% tocats. In both species, males had a higher frequency of urinary system disease, compared to females (dog = 58.56% and cat = 66.67%). The most common etiologies in dogs were lower urinary tract infections (24.65%), bladder urolithiasis (16.90%), and acute and chronic kidney disease (28.16%); while in cats lower urinary tract disease (100%) and kidney disease (5.26%) were the main pathologies observed. In dogs, the most affected age range was in patients older than 8 years (52.25%), while in cats it ranged from 3 to 8 years (73.34%).

The purpose of this study was to report extracurricular activities performed by professors and students of the Dentistry course at the State University of Southwest Bahia. Their goal was to promote oral health to microcephaly patients and their parents, after the period of social isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In this context, a university extracurricular activity, more than ever, must assume its social responsibility, establishing new paths for public health care and regarding these actions correlating the academic community and society.

Therapy by Monoclonal antibodies is considered extremely hoping method for cancer therapy. But cancer cells have variable methods for resistance by multiple genetic mutations. The aim of that article to illustrate tagging monoclonal antibodies by gallium containing solamargine glycoside within the antibody by glycosylation the asparagine of its Fc portion. Malignant cells need to a big extent high carbohydrate content for aerobic glycolysis for cancer progression. Solamargine as a specific glycoside can be diffused easily and effectively into malignant cells with a high degree of specificity. Complexion gallium to solamargine then conjugation into monoclonal antibodies will increase Monoclonal antibody potency and affinity by Warburg effect based mechanism and gallium particles. Gallium can be retained for a long time inside malignant cells. By that method, the monoclonal antibody will be targeted to cancer cells by solamargine, retained gallium particles besides its functioning specific Fab region.

The principal errors of spectral and coherent analysis are discussed, and the mathematics of these methods is not related to EEG nature. In this regard, in 2011, the new method was developed for evaluating EEG synchronyby the correlation of envelopes, which has a direct and fundamental physiological meaning. The basics of this method and the methodology of subsequent multilateral statistical analysis are considered. The effective use of the method for identifying individual and intergroup differences in the norm and several types of schizophrenia, depressive diseases, five stages of sleep, and similar functional states are presented.

Introduction:Meniscus injury is now widely being diagnosed and managed. Meniscus acts as a shock absorber and transmits forces from femur to tibia. However, if the meniscus is torn, the hoop strength is lost. In hidden meniscus injuries, budding arthroscopy surgeons tend to miss the tear. AMR sign acts as a light-bearer for identifying the breach in the collagen architecture. Methods and Materials: 267 patients were included in the study. Informed written consent was taken from all the patients operated and included in the study. Following a fixed protocol of diagnostic arthroscopy, documentation of AMR sign and its relation with intactness of the medial meniscus was done. If medial meniscus tear was found, after repair, its relation with AMR sign was documented.

Among the leading risk factors for the development of emergency conditions in acute intestinal infections, especially in infants, some authors point to rickets, anemia, and abnormal antenatal pathology. The aim is to determine the frequency of occurrence of various risk factors for the development of emergency situations in tender-age infants. Materials and methods: 338 tender-age infants with urgent conditions were under observation. The study involved clinical-anamnestic, bacteriological, and serological methods. The aggravating factors were as follows: diseases of parents in 16 (6.2%), related marriages - 20 (7.7%) pregnancy pathology-137 (52.9%), prematurity-16 (6.2%), artificial feeding - 127 (49.0%), early diseases (acute respiratory viral infections, pneumonia, encephalopathy, intestinal infections). Results: According to the results of the study, the central nervous system damage was most often observed in children from 1 month to 6 months (80.2%), anemia was more detected in children of 1-3 years - 56.4%, rickets was more diagnosed in children aged 6-12 months -38.2%.

Scleral flap tears during trabeculectomy are difficult to repair in a predictable fashion. Donor scleral flap reinforcements are commonly preferred for managing trabeculectomy flap-related over-filtration, leading to shallow anterior chamber (AC). Due to the advent of COVID-19 lockdown, especially in the initial phases, eye banking activities almost came to a standstill, with almost no corneal and/or scleral tissue retrievals. Hence, in this manuscript we have presented a mini case series with follow-up of two of our cases; where Gore-Tex (e-polytetrafluoroethylene) implant was used as an alternative to scleral patch graft, for managing trabeculectomy flap-related over-filtration, with their pros and cons. Though Gore-Tex implant stability in both cases were contentious, it still served the purpose of managing the flap-related over- filtration and subsequent shallow AC.

Moderate acute malnutrition is one of the most common nutritional disorders among young children in Côte d'Ivoire. For treating this condition, ready-to-use foods have been found to be the most effective. However, their high cost and the recurrent stock breaks lead to national unavailability whose local production can fill and ensure sustainable care. This study has been set to assess the nutritional and anti-nutrient value of ready-to-use foods formulated with locally available ingredients. For doing this, four formulae meeting the recommended nutritive needs for moderately acutely malnourished children aged 6 to 59 months have been produced using traditional methods and household equipment. The cocoa (LF-1 and LF-3) and cashew (LF-2 and LF-4) formulae contained rice, soy, sugar, oil, and egg. The latter has been added to FL-3 and FL-4. All formulae presented biochemical compositions (proteins, fats, carbohydrates, and energy except fiber and ash) close to Plumpy’Sup®.
