In this paper we propose a fully automated offline handwriting recognition system that incorporates rule based segmentation, contour based feature extraction, neural network validation, a hybrid neural network classifier and a hamming neural network lexicon. The work is based on our earlier promising results in this area using heuristic segmentation and contour based feature extraction. The segmentation is done using many heuristic based set of rules in an iterative manner and finally followed by a neural network validation system. The extraction of feature is performed using both contour and structure based feature extraction algorithm. The classification is performed by a hybrid neural network that incorporates a hybrid combination of evolutionary algorithm and matrix based solution method. Finally a hamming neural network is used as a lexicon. A benchmark dataset from CEDAR has been used for training and testing.

This paper presents main paradigms of research for feature extraction methods to further augment the state of art in speaker recognition (SR) which has been recognized extensively in person identification for security and protection applications. Speaker recognition system (SRS) has become a widely researched topic for the last many decades. The basic concept of feature extraction methods is derived from the biological model of human auditory/vocal tract system. This work provides a classification-oriented review of feature extraction methods for SR over the last 55 years that are proven to be successful and have become the new stone to further research. Broadly, the review work is dichotomized into feature extraction methods with and without noise compensation techniques. Feature extraction methods without noise compensation techniques are divided into following categories: On the basis of high/low level of feature extraction; type of transform; speech production/auditory system; type of feature extraction technique; time variability; speech processing techniques. Further, feature extraction methods with noise compensation techniques are classified into noise-screened features, feature normalization methods, feature compensation methods. This classification-oriented review would endow the clear vision of readers to choose among different techniques and will be helpful in future research in this field.

The paper is based on classification of respiratory illness like covid 19 and pneumonia by using deep learning. The symptoms of COVID-19 and pneumonia are similar. Due to this, it is often difficult to identify what is causing your condition without being tested for COVID-19 or other respiratory infections. To find out how COVID-19 and pneumonia differs from one another, this paper presents that a novel Convolutional Neural Network in Tensor Flow and Keras based Covid-19 pneumonia classification. The proposed system supported implements CNN using Pneumonia images to classify the Covid-19, normal, pneumonia. The knowledge from these studies can potentially help in diagnosis of the concerned disease. It is predicted that the success of the anticipated results will increase if the CNN method is supported by adding extra feature extraction methods for classifying covid-19 and pneumonia successfully thereby improving the efficacy and potential of using deep CNN to pictures.
