Lichen striatus is a rare dermatitis characterized by lichenoid papules arranged in a linear band along the Blaschko’s line. Extremities are commonly affected sites. Sometimes, abdomen, buttocks and thighs may also be involved in a single extensive lesion. But, multiple lesions involving many Blaschko’s lines are rare with only few publications till now. Hence, we are reporting a case of 14-year-old male presented with lichen striatus over left upper and lower extremities as well as left side of trunk.Nepal Journal of Dermatology, Venereology & Leprology, Vol.14(1) 2016, pp.48-50

Medial medullary syndrome (aka Dejerine syndrome) is a rare condition that develops following infarction of the medial medulla and is classically defined by the presence of Dejerine’s triad of contralateral weakness in upper and lower extremities, contralateral hemisensory loss of vibration and proprioception, and ipsilateral tongue weakness. It is typically caused by occlusion of the vertebral artery or one of its branches. We report the case of a 6-year-old girl who suffered a medial medullary infarction, and she was diagnosed with atypical Dejerine syndrome. Medial medullary infarct leading to atypical Dejerine syndrome has not been reported in this young of a patient in the literature to date.

In 1862, Raynaud first described, as a completely independent nosological unit, a kind of disease of the peripheral and most protruding parts of the body (fingers of the upper and lower extremities, auricles, the tip of the nose, cheeks), now known under the name of Raynaud's symmetric gangrene ... Since that time, little new has been introduced into the etiology and pathogenesis of this disease.
