Since the emergence of bel canto in China, traditional Chinese singing has been greatly influenced. Modern Chinese opera not only inherits the essence of Chinese national music, but also includes the unique vocal abilities of bel canto. It is thanks to Chinese national music and bel canto, which give Chinese opera singing in modern opera a whole new artistic experience that makes contemporary Chinese opera singing aimed at diversified development. The article analyzes the direction of development of bel canto in the field of Chinese art and the influence of bel canto on the direction of development of Chinese opera singing. Clarify the direction of development of the Chinese operatic art.

A fusion of «bioethics» and «art» changes the means and ways of broadcasting art in the field of new biotechnological achievements and recalls responsibility in science. Bioethics socializes art. Art popularizes bioethics and complements its «experience of comprehension» with aesthetic experiences. The article analyzes the connections that unite bioart with science and bioethics. Examples of creative bioart projects at the World Congresses on Bioethics, which draw attention to the installation and performative forms, expressing the artistic experience of bioethical values and meanings that museums and other public fields represent, are given. The processes of forming links between laboratory research (often hidden from public attention) and art-works through practical experiment, dialogue, observation, or play are analyzed. The tandem of art and bioethics provides a link between scientists and the public, reveals new possibilities for ethical reflection, and represents a living manifesto of overcoming the disunity of scientific and everyday practices. Art and bioethics are sources of inspiration for each other. Not only does art expand its boundaries, transforming a scientific experiment into an artistic process, but also bioethics is entering a new level of research and discussion, reinforcing its creative potential through art. Despite the fact that they differ in genre, they create a common space of rational discourse as well as a common ground for familiarizing with the artistic experience in the process of their cooperation and communication, with the purpose of understanding the emerging problems, attracting to them not only professionals, but also broad circle of people interested in bioethical issues.

The article addresses the question of whether in using a school performance as a tool in ELT it is possible to achieve true artistic effects through it. It analyses the problem from the point of view of focusing on the value of the outcome rather than just the process of implementing theatre in ELT. The issues are discussed according to Bruner’s criteria (1971) of artistic experience and Wenzel’s conditions (2001) for authenticity in speaking in an ELT classroom. Furthermore, the notion of cognitive appeal is put forward as a key feature in achieving a shift in students’ attitude towards performing, which may in turn result in achieving a truly artistic effect.

Carl August Senff is among the most important artists of AcademicNeoclassicism in the Baltic region. As drawing master at the University of Tartu, he conveyed the artistic experience he had acquired, primarily during his years in Saxony in Leipzig and Dresden, to a significant number of students. In this way, Senff established the basis for the independent development of the arts in Estonia.This essay examines Senff’s early artistic roots in Germany and draws attention to the close, personal relations with his artist friends who served as a fundamental source, guiding light, and creative impulse for his own drawing and painting throughout his life. Senff’s stylistic development began with a sentimental neoclassicism that gradually transformed into Biedermeier realism. Portraits and landscapes in various techniques were Senff’s preferred genres, especially as graphic prints. Senff’s mastery of the new technique of lithography became animportant model for his many students.
