Abstract FAGERSTA D-950 is a high-speed steel that combines economic considerations in a properly balanced chemical analysis. An optimum carbon-vanadium ratio provides a high attainable hardness along with good mechanical properties. Its wide hardening range and excellent response to secondary hardening is rather unique and can offer some advantages in heat treatment. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and elasticity. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, and machining. Filing Code: TS-307.
