Abstract ALUMINUM 5005 is nominally an aluminum-magnesium alloy that cannot be hardened or strengthened by heat treatment; however, it can be hardened by cold working. It has excellent resistance to corrosion, excellent weldability and good brazeability. Its numerous applications include appliances, utensils and architectural components.
