Palm oil is one of the plantations that are often attacked by disease. The disease of this planting plants isspread rapidly, so it must be in the culprit. To know the oil palm plant disease or not to be diagnosed tothe symptoms found in the field. At PT Andalan Alam Sumatra there are still many obstacles in perosesdiagnosis of oil palm disease, while the constraint that occurs is the lack of knowledge of employees ofpalm oil disease, still need help from plantation managers in diagnosing disease. Peroses diagnostics willbe hampered when plantation managers are not in place or being out of service, this also greatly burdenthe work of a planter manager. Because of peroses peroses diagnosis of palm oil disease disease perosesdisease prevention also become obstructed. As a result, palm oil disease spreads and disrupts theproductivity of oil palms, causing death in palm oil. Therefore it is necessary media that can helpovercome this as for medianya system of plant disease diagnosis by applying Forward Chaining method. This expert system of plant disease diagnosis using object-based modeling techniques to describe theanalysis and system design, namely in the form of use case diagrams, class diagrams, and activitydiagrams. The output of this research is the design of prototype system Analysis And Design ExpertSystem Diagnosis Disease Palm Plant At PT. Andalan Alam Sumatra With Forward Chaining Method

Plant disease diagnosis is most often accomplished by examination of symptoms and observation or isolation of causal organisms. Occasionally, diseases of unknown etiology occur and are difficult or impossible to accurately diagnose by the usual means. In 1980, such a disease was observed on Agrostis palustris Huds. c.v. Toronto (creeping bentgrass) putting greens at the Butler National Golf Course in Oak Brook, IL.The wilting symptoms of the disease and the irregular nature of its spread through affected areas suggested that an infectious agent was involved. However, normal isolation procedures did not yield any organism known to infect turf grass. TEM was employed in order to aid in the possible diagnosis of the disease.Crown, root and leaf tissue of both infected and symptomless plants were fixed in cold 5% glutaraldehyde in 0.1 M phosphate buffer, post-fixed in buffered 1% osmium tetroxide, dehydrated in ethanol and embedded in a 1:1 mixture of Spurrs and epon-araldite epoxy resins.

The purpose of this paper is to create an expert system to detect oil palm plant diseases in order to help farmers / companies in providing accurate information about the diseases of oil palm plants and how to overcome them and to help reduce the risk of decreasing palm oil production. This system is designed to mimic the expertise of an expert who is able to detect diseases that attack oil palm plants. The method used is forward chaining that is starting from a set of data and proving a fact by describing the level of confidence and uncertainty found in a hypothesis. The results of this study are to diagnose diseases of oil palm plants and their computerization using web programming languages.
