In order to eliminate this wood handicap comparing to other material bases, chiefly PVC, which are used for window production, it is inevitable to know the thermal transmittance values of wood grown in Slovakia region, eventually in Czech Republic, to be able to modify the calculated or measured values of window thermal transmittance. Solution for the research problem is documented by the spruce or fir wood example, which are used the most in window production in SR.
