The purpose of this study was to explore challenges public elementary school teachers faced when conducting emergency remote teaching during the pandemic in Malaysia. The scope of the study was limited to remote teaching which was conducted between Mar 2020 and December 2020, when Malay-sia government urged an emergency national lockdown to stop the spread of coronavirus in the country. This study adopted qualitative, case study re-search design. 10 public elementary school teachers were sampled using a purposive sampling method. Semi-structured interviews were employed to gain the insights of teachers’ challenges in implementation of emergency re-mote teaching. The data were analysed using thematic analysis and a facilitation of Nvivo 12 programme. There were six main themes emerged on teachers’ challenges, which were (1) Directing gateway; (2) Lack of skill and knowledge; (3) Unable to meet all needs; (4) Unable to engage students; (5) Lack of support from parents; and (6) Had no proper guideline. As teachers were the key persons in determining the functionality, effectiveness and de-velopment of future remote teaching, hence it was extremely crucial to listen to teachers’ voices and figure out how these educators could be supported in the future to benefit the learners and communities.

This study explored the lived experiences of novice elementary school teachers with respect to classroom management. This study used a phenomenological case study research design. Four novice elementary school teachers struggling with classroom management were selected from private elementary schools in Lahore. Semi-structured interviews were conducted to elicit the lived experiences of the participants. All interviews were audio-recorded and later transcribed for conducting a qualitative content analysis of the data. The analysis revealed that novice teachers faced various challenges in managing their class�and used multiple pedagogical techniques to handle day-to-day classroom issues. Usually, a new teacher is highly dependent on the support and help from the school management; irony, however, is that they seldom receive any. This study contributes to contextual knowledge related to the issues and needs of novice private elementary school teachers at the start of their careers.

The field of school leadership has been continuously increasing in demands and had currently occupied the idea of distributed leadership. Distributed leadership is leadership that is "stretched over leaders and followers, which is beneficial in settings such as schools (Bonneville, 2017). The call for teachers as leaders in school to help implement the K-12 educational system had engaged them to take on collaborative roles. Thus, the study intended to describe the level of awareness and extent of practices of distributed leadership in terms of types such as collaborative, collective, and coordinated as assessed by public elementary school teachers. Moreover, it determined whether a significant relationship existed between the level of awareness and demographic profile and the extent of practices and demographic profile of teachers. Also, it intended to determine if there is a significant relationship between the awareness and practices of distributed leadership.

This study aims to determine the effect of leadership and work discipline on the performance of public elementary school teachers in Cluster I, Rambutan District, Banyuasin Regency. This type of research is quantitative. The sample in the study was 55 respondents with data collection techniques in the form of a questionnaire (questionnaire). The results showed that: 1) there is a significant influence of leadership on teacher performance, 2) there is a significant effect of work discipline on teacher performance, 3) there is a significant influence between leadership and work discipline on teacher performance.
