This chapter aims to study a fifteen-year project of Mobile Government (mGov) in the state of Paraná, Brazil. The precocious experience in Brazil in mGov and the number of cell phones used in the country are not arguments for these to be used in providing mass public services. Mason's Historical Method was used to get to know the project, raising available information and retrieving happenings and results. To identify events, relevant actors, their roles, aspects in collaboration, setting and density of the relations among these actors, Social Network Analysis was used. We conclude it is important to formalize the project, but that will not guarantee its continuity in the long run. Characterizing phases minimizes the importance given to the change of governors after new elections in large corporative projects. The networks forming favors the dissemination of IT knowledge among actors. This research shows little evidence that SMS still have long life.

The study aims at identifying the factors influencing the seasonality effect in the stock market and further identifying the relationship between the influencing factors. The study aims at conducting a complete analysis of the influencing factors along with measuring their impact on seasonality using Social Network Analysis (SNA). The factors affecting the seasonality effect in the stock market were identified through the literature review. Experts’ opinions were sought for determining the relationship among the factors and finally, the importance of those factors was analyzed using Social Network Analysis (SNA). It was found that volatility is the most important factor affecting the other factors of seasonality and consequently seasonality effect finally. Besides, earning announcements, dividend, and January effects strongly influence the effect of seasonality in the stock market because of their higher in-degree and out-degree. To understand the mechanism of the stock market, the policymakers need to impart training to the investors through awareness campaign or by opening learning investors’ Club at different places. With this they can evaluate their standing in the stock market and the capability of bearing the risk which, in the long run, will be reflected in their investment behavior along with that the culture of equity investing will also be promoted among the investors.

The study uses data of international research publications from World of Science (WOS) during 1997-2014. Data Analysis using Social Network Analysis (SNA) with UCINET, NetDraw, and VOSViewer software. The result shows that the number of international publications on energy in Indonesia are increasing and most publications are of research collaboration with institutions from other country. Based on keywords that frequently appear which are biomass, biodiesel, and ethanol, it can be concluded that popular research theme on energy in Indonesia is renewable energy. This paper concludes with the findings on institutions with the highest rank in renewable energy publications, those are Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Institut Pertanian Bandung (IPB), and Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia/Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI).
