This text have further discussed the audio frequency compression based on wavelet packet decomposition and optimize the choice of optimum wavelet packet and proposed a optimized self-adaptive wavelet packet decomposition and adopted zerotree coding based on psycho-acoustic model, which makes this system have a higher compression ratio than audio signal and can keep good real-time and objective recovery signal to noise ratio. Computer simulation test is made for the calculation proposed with Matlab, and this simulation test has proved the point that is mentioned in this text.

Data communication through metallic structures is generally encountered in manufacturing equipment and process monitoring and control. This paper presents a signal processing technique for enhancing the signal-to-noise ratio and high-bit data transmission rate in ultrasound-based wireless data transmission through metallic structures. A multi-carrier coded-ultrasonic wave modulation scheme is firstly investigated to achieve high-bit data rate communication while reducing inter-symbol inference and data loss, due to the inherent signal attenuation, wave diffraction and reflection in metallic structures. To improve the signal-to-noise ratio, dual-tree wavelet packet transform (DT-WPT) has been investigated to separate multi-carrier signals under noise contamination, given its properties of shift-invariance and flexible time frequency partitioning. A new envelope extraction and threshold setting strategy for selected wavelet coefficients is then introduced to retrieve the coded digital information. Experimental studies are performed to evaluate the effectiveness of the developed signal processing method for manufacturing.

The electrocardiogram is an electrical activity of the human heart and it is mainly used in the diagnosis of different diseases associated with the human heart. In the medical field, it is also known as electrophysiological activity of the human heart. During its recording an unwanted noise known as artifacts is getting contaminated into it, this creates an obstruction in its clinical analysis. As for application of wavelet analysis is concerned, it is then fit to mention that denoising of ECG is effectively done by wavelet tools, so that identification of hidden diseases of the patient becomes possible. In this research article an algorithm is proposed for denoising ECG signal by applying a wavelet transform popularly known as wavelet packet transformation and three wavelet functions: Haar Wavelet, Db-3 Wavelet and Coiflet-3 Wavelet. The performance of this algorithm is studied on the basis of constraints popularly known in the mathematical field as Signal to Noise ratio (SNR), Norm 1 and Norm 2. This algorithm is first applied in deciding the optimum level of decomposition applied to the ECG recording No. S10m.mat, then a comparative study is laid down for a sample of 10 ECG recordings obtained from MIT-BIH database available on www.physio.net.

A new reversible watermarking algorithm on stereo audio signals is proposed in this article. By utilizing correlations between two channels of audio signal, the authors segment one channel based on another one according to the smoothness. For each segmented sub-host sequence, they estimate its capacity and the corresponding embedding distortion firstly, and then select the optimal combinations of sub-host sequences for embedding. Experimental results indicate that the proposed algorithm can improve SNR (signal to noise ratio) for various kinds of capacity.

Due to the different structure of the machine parts, machine vibrations sent audio signal have different frequency. The early defect, audio signal can be analyzed well by wavelet packet transform. After wavelet packet decomposition and reconstruction, Audio signal noise reduced. And then through high and low frequency decomposition, we can constitute the energy characteristics. The experiment shows: the extracted features have good structure.

A kind of multifunctional audio digital watermark algorithm was put forward according to the copyright protection of audio problems. The audio signal is layered three by wavelet packet decomposition and robust watermark is embedded in the low frequency part, fragile watermark is embedded in the intermediate frequency part. The experimental results show that, the algorithm has no sound very good, excellent robustness and fragility. In the actual use of the process, which not only guarantees the safety of audio information effectively , but also guarantees good audio information fidelity.
