In recent years, cloud computing and Internet of Things have been the focus of research at home and abroad, the application of them is becoming increasingly wider, and smart campus is the outcome of the application of intergrading the cloud computing and the internet of things. In this paper we first introduce the application of the IOT and the cloud computing in education. Then we raise the model and application framework of smart campus. By the means of analyzing the model and application framework of smart campus base on the cloud computing and the internet of things, we study its function apply. At last we discuss the issues of smart campus to be widely applied.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the world has faced a significant challenge in the increase of the rate of morbidity and mortality among people, particularly the elderly aged patients. The risk of acquiring infections may increase during the visit of patients to the hospitals. The utilisation of technology such as the “Internet of Things (IoT)” based on Fog Computing and Cloud Computing turned out to be efficient in enhancing the healthcare quality services for the patients. The present paper aims at gaining a better understanding and insights into the most effective and novel IoT-based applications such as Cloud Computing and Fog Computing and their implementations in the healthcare field. The research methodology employed the collection of the information from the databases such as PubMed, Google Scholar, MEDLINE, and Science Direct. There are five research articles selected after 2015 based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria set for the study. The findings of the studies included in this paper indicate that IoT-based Fog Computing and Cloud Computing increase the delivery of healthcare quality services to patients. The technology showed high efficiency in terms of convenience, reliability, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Future studies are required to incorporate the models that provided the best quality services using the Fog and Cloud Computation techniques for the different user requirements. Moreover, edge computing could be used to significantly enhance the provision of health services at home.

The paper proposing the cloud based internet of things for the smart connected objects, concentrates on developing a smart home utilizing the internet of things, by providing the embedded labeling for all the tangible things at home and enabling them to be connected through the internet. The smart home proposed in the paper concentrates on the steps in reducing the electricity consumption of the appliances at the home by converting them into the smart connected objects using the cloud based internet of things and also concentrates on protecting the house from the theft and the robbery. The proposed smart home by turning the ordinary tangible objects into the smart connected objects shows considerable improvement in the energy consumption and the security provision.

With the development of emerging technology innovations such as the internet of things, classroom management has also shown an informatization trend. Among them, smart classrooms are an important part of the current university information environment construction. The purpose of this article is to build a smart classroom into an intelligent teaching environment with many functions such as intelligent perception and identification, real-time monitoring based on the internet of things technology and cloud computing technology. A questionnaire survey was conducted among freshman students in some majors, and interviews were conducted with the instructors. It was found that 92.19% of the students were satisfied with the classroom learning in the smart classroom environment, and most teachers thought that the teaching effect had been improved. Experiments have proven that the operation of smart classrooms based on the internet of things and cloud computing realizes the intelligence of teaching management services and improves the level of education informationization in schools.

Industry 4.0 is a technology-driven manufacturing process that heavily relies on technologies, such as the internet of things (IoT), cloud computing, web services, and big real-time data. Industry 4.0 has significant potential if the challenges currently being faced by introducing these technologies are effectively addressed. Some of these challenges consist of deficiencies in terms of interoperability and standardization. Semantic Web technologies can provide useful solutions for several problems in this new industrial era, such as systems integration and consistency checks of data processing and equipment assemblies and connections. This paper discusses what contribution the Semantic Web can make to Industry 4.0.

Edge data processing represents the new evolution of the Internet and Cloud computing. Its application to the Internet of Things (IoT) is a step towards faster processing of information from sensors for better performance. In automated systems, we have a large number of sensors, whose information needs to be processed in the shortest possible time and acted upon. The paper describes the possibility of applying Artificial Intelligence on Edge devices using the example of finding a parking space for a vehicle, and directing it based on the segment the vehicle belongs to. Algorithm of Machine Learning is used for vehicle classification, which is based on vehicle dimensions.
