The purpose of this study is to reveal the dark side the Internet and establish a hierarchical framework to provide its governance path based on users' negative psychology. However, this hierarchical framework must consider unnecessary attributes and the interrelationships between the aspects and the criteria. Hence, fuzzy set theory is used for screening out the unnecessary attributes, a decision-making and trial evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) is proposed to manage the complex interrelationships among the aspects and attributes, and interpretive structural modeling (ISM) is used to divide the hierarchy and construct a hierarchical theoretical framework. The results show that: (1) the institutional system is the driver of Internet governance improvement (2) personal values are the last link in the governance process (3) the governance transition from institutional system to values must cross the barriers of ethics and technology. This paper proposes a more systematic and integrated hierarchical framework which provides theoretical guidance to govern the dark side of the Internet.

One of the most critical activities of revealing terrorism-related information is classifying online documents.The internet provides consumers with a variety of useful knowledge, and the volume of web material is increasingly growing. This makes finding potentially hazardous records incredibly difficult. To define the contents, merely extracting keywords from records is inadequate. Many methods have been studied so far to develop automatic document classification systems, they are mainly computational and knowledge-based approaches. due to the complexities of natural languages, these approaches do not provide sufficient results. To fix this shortcoming, we given approach of structure dependent on the WordNet hierarchy and the frequency of n-gram data that employs word similarity. Using four different queries terms from four different regions, this approach was checked for the NY Times articles that were sampled. Our suggested approach successfully removes background words and phrases from the document recognizes connected to terrorism texts, according to experimental findings.

The rise of the Internet of Things (IoT) has driven mobile applications development. As a result, in the consumer IoT (CIoT) space, any product usually comes with a smartphone application to either control, programme, or just view what is happening with the product. The IoT brings with it opportunities and challenges to consumers. For example, IoT technology makes it possible to connect all of a person’s devices to create a smart eco-system or assemblage. However, the biggest threat in CIoT is personal data security. This study utilized a qualitative narrative inquiry and Delphi technique to explore data security issues that come with CIoT assemblages and associated mobile applications in South Africa. The study established that consumers enjoy the convenience and benefits that IoT technology brings. It is concluded that for CIoT to thrive, safety is crucial, and all the stakeholders in the IoT assemblage need to ensure the protection of consumers.

The Domain Name System - DNS is regarded as one of the critical infrastructure component of the global Internet because a large-scale DNS outage would effectively take a typical user offline. Therefore, the Internet community should ensure that critical components of the DNS ecosystem - that is, root name servers, top-level domain registrars and registries, authoritative name servers, and recursive resolvers - function smoothly. To this end, the community should monitor them periodically and provide public alerts about abnormal behavior. The authors propose a novel quantitative approach for evaluating the health of authoritative name servers – a critical, core, and a large component of the DNS ecosystem. The performance is typically measured in terms of response time, reliability, and throughput for most of the Internet components. This research work proposes a novel list of parameters specifically for determining the health of authoritative name servers: DNS attack permeability, latency comparison, and DNSSEC validation.

Also, most of them are already familiar with social media accounts and it is quite easy to play with our online e-platform. In so called Let’s Plays, video gaming is presented and verbally commented by Let's players on the internet for an audience. When only watched but not played, the most attractive features of video games, immersion and interactivity, get lost – at least for the internet audience. We assume that the accompanying reactions (transmitted via a so-called facecam) and verbal comments of Let's Players on their game for an audience contribute to an embodiment of their avatars which makes watching a video game more attractive. Following an ethnomethodological conversation analytical (EMCA) approach, our paper focusses on two practices of embodying avatars. A first practice is that Let’s Players verbally formulate their actions in the game. By that, they make their experiences and the 'actions' of avatars more transparent. Secondly, they produce response cries (Goffman) in reaction to game events. By that, they enhance the liveliness of their avatars. Both practices contribute to a co-construction of a specific kind of (tele?)presence.

Devices are increasingly getting connected to the internet with the advances in technologies called the Internet of Things (IoT). The IoTs are the physical device in which are embedded with software, sensors, among other technologies. Linking and switching data resources with other devices, IoT has been recognized to be a trending research arena due to the world’s technological advancement. Every stage of technology avails several capacities, for instance, the IoT avails any device, anyone, any service, any technological path or any network, any place, and any context to be connected. The effective IoT applications permit public and private business organizations to regulate their assets, optimize the performance of the business, and develop new business models. In this study, we scrutinize the IoT progress as an approach to the technological upgrade through analyzing traits, architectures, applications, enabling technologies, and future challenges. To enable an aging society, and optimize different kinds of mobility and transportation, and helps to enhance the effectiveness of energy, along with the definition and characteristics of the IoT devices, the study examined the architecture of the IoT that includes the perception layer, transmission layer, application layer, and network management. It discusses the enabling technologies of the IoT that include application domain, middleware domain, network domain, and object domain. The study further evaluated the role of the IoT and its application in the everyday lives of the people by making smart cities, smart agriculture and waste management, retail and logistics, and smart environment. Besides the benefits, the IoT has demonstrated future technological challenges and is equally explained within the study.

Precision agriculture involves applying artificial intelligence, computers, sensors, and automation to improve crop field productivity while monitoring environmental conditions to conserve soil, water, and other natural resources focusing on agricultural sustainability. Despite many applications in agriculture, data monitoring and recording technologies have limited use due to the price. Low-cost open-source systems, like the ones available with the Internet of things (IoT) world, can potentially be developed as a universal-fit and cloud-connected technology for multiple applications. We designed and built a basic data collecting system using a commercial standalone embedded computer with Python programming language, serial data interface (SDI)-12/analog sensor adaptor, and digital sensors to monitor soil moisture and transmit the data remotely. SDI-12 is a standard communication protocol that transfers digital sensor measurements to a data recorder. We set up a pilot study that automatically collected and uploaded the data into the Internet to allow remote data transfer and access. The system performed reliably over 1 week with potting soil under field conditions without maintenance and successfully recorded data in real-time. The volumetric water content ranged from 0.03 to 0.23 m3·m−3, dielectric permittivity from 3.3 to 18.9 (unitless), EC from 0.0 to 0.3 dS·m−1, and soil temperature from 20.7 to 44.8 °C. All the data were successfully collected and uploaded to the cloud every 20 min, allowing users to remotely monitor the data using a free online application. However, heavy rainfall and high insolation could damage the system through excessive moisture or overheating, requiring a waterproof and heavy-duty protection case. The ThingSpeak channel allows customizing to suit a user’s specific requirements or adding more features for further development, such as automated irrigation, which can improve irrigation and fertilization efficiency by applying water and fertilizers at the right time based on sensor readings.

The purpose of the study was to search for and analyze data from modern sources of information on the features of the occurrence and manifestations of pain in the knee joint and approaches to treatment. Materials and methods. The paper presents an analysis and generalization of modern scientific and methodological literature of domestic and foreign authors according to the Internet and Google Scholar service on the peculiarities of arthralgia of the knee joint and concomitant manifestations of this disorder (back pain, posture, etc.). Results and discussion. The article analyzed modern views on the occurrence and development of the process of pain syndrome in the knee joint. Sources on request in the Google Scholar service were analyzed, where the overwhelming majority of publications are described by pain slander and approaches to its treatment after the occurrence of anatomical changes in the structures of bone and soft-wound structures or after surgical interventions. Thus, the prevailing approach is the purpose of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in combination with chondroprotectors. According to the authors of the article, this approach to the treatment of pain in the area of the knee joint does not take into account one of the main components of the occurrence of arthralgia – muscle imbalance, both at the local level of the lower extremities and muscular-fascial chains. According to the theory of muscular chains, the dislocation of bones forming the knee joint leads to uneven loading of the femoral and tibial bones to the metaphizar deposits, which leads to a circulatory disorder and further leads to degenerative-dystrophic diseases. Understanding this component of pathogenesis can give a specialist in physical therapy and ergotherapy a more informed approach to the development of balanced treatment tactics aimed at eliminating the primary causes of pain syndrome. Conclusion. Pain in the knee joint can be caused not only by degenerative-dystrophic changes in the bones, but also can be associated with muscle imbalance of the posterior surface line. The development of a rehabilitation program for knee pain should include not only the use of local remedies, but also take into account the impact on the relevant reflex areas in the spine. Emerging degenerative-dystrophic processes in the bones that are part of the structure of the knee joint can be caused by their dislocation due to muscle imbalance. Uncontrolled and unauthorized use of analgesics by patients with knee pain can smooth the clinical picture and reduce the effectiveness of rehabilitation measures

Independent and free media are considered to be an essential component of any democratic society. Especially in countries that have been hit hard by the economic crisis and austerity measures, such as Greece, the need for independent journalism to act as watchdog, on behalf of civil society is more important than ever. However, the clientelistic relationships upon which the whole Greek media landscape is built, leaves little room for a journalism that investigates, exposes and holds those in power accountable. It is within this context, we argue, that alternative web radio stations are emerging, taking advantage of the internet technology in order to create bottom-up journalistic initiatives that challenge the current narratives and seek to constitute a new paradigm of journalism. This paper sets out to examine the general characteristics of the Greek media ecosystem but also goes on to examine the particular conditions that led to the current media crisis. It also discusses the legislative framework surrounding Greek media. Finally, this paper aims to provide a brief overview of the alternative web radios that have emerged in the current media ecosystem, by presenting in three Greek alternative web radio stations, describing their basic characteristics, principles, structures and their views on journalistic practices.
