Adaptive Newton Algorithm in Computing the Upper Bound of Structured Singular Value

This paper was presented a new method to compute structured singular value μ, which had been used widely to analyze and synthesize robust controller with structured uncertainty. The formulated method was adaptive Newton pathfollowing to find an optimal singular path at some frequency for low-order function of μ-Δ(M). The objective of the new algorithm was to calculate structured singular value conveniently and stably and finally design a better robust controller.

This paper presents a method for the robustness analysis of the bladed disk with bounded random mistuning. The robust stability and performance are evaluated by the upper bound of the structured singular value. The robust control model of the bladed disk is established in virtue of linear fractional transformation. The influences of intentional stiffness mistuning in harmonic patterns on the robustness of the mistuned bladed disk are investigated. The numerical results indicate that the robust performance of the mistuned bladed disk could be effectively enhanced by appropriate harmonic intentional mistuning. The proposed method can help us design a bladed disk, which is insensitive to dangerous random mistuning.

Firstly, the conception of hypersonic flight and its flight characteristics are introduced in the article. Secondly, a control method based on the structured singular value theory is proposed, and the necessity of this method whether can be applied to design the hypersonic vehicle controller is discussed. And then taking a model for example, the robust controller of hypersonic vehicle is designed. At last, the control effect of this controller is proved better through the simulation result. It also turned out that the controller has excellent command track performance.
