Abstract J and L Type 409NI is a ferritic stainless steel with 11% Cr. It exhibits an excellent combination of good formability, economy, and resistance to oxidation and corrosion. It is typically used in automotive exhaust systems or where more forming is required. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties.
