ABSTRACT Tuberculosis of the thyroid gland is an uncommon disease and primary involvement of thyroid is even rarer. It is very uncommon disease even in countries where tuberculosis is endemic. Histologically, the presence of necrotizing epithelioid cell granulomas along with Langhans-type giant cells are the hallmark features of thyroid tuberculosis. In this case report, we are presenting a rare case of thyroid tuberculosis in a 40-year-old female. How to cite this article Gupta R, Mohindroo NK, Azad R. Thyroid Tuberculosis: Yes, It is True. The thyroid gland, usually located below and anterior to the larynx, consists of two bulky lateral lobes connected by a relatively thin isthmus. The thyroid is divided by thin brous septae into lobules composed of about 20 to 40 evenly dispersed follicles, lined by a cuboidal to low columnar [1] epithelium, and lled with PAS-positive thyroglobulin. The thyroid secretes hormones that control the heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature and basal metabolic rate

ABSTRACT Thyroglossal cyst is a congenital condition of the neck where the painless swelling is found in the midline of the neck in between the foramen cecum of tongue base and sternal notch. Condition is common in children. Thyroglossal fistula is either secondary to infection or drainage of a misdiagnosed abscess. Here we are presenting a case of thyroglossal fistula with its opening over the chest and a cord extending from the hyoid bone to the chest causing restriction of the neck movement. Thyroglossal fistula opening in the chest, i.e. over the sternum is very rare and not been reported in any literatures. Treatment of this type of thyroglossal fistula is same as other types, i.e. Sistrunk's operation, where tract along with part of the hyoid bone is to be removed to prevent recurrence. We are reporting this case for its rare occurrence. How to cite this article Rout MR, Mohanty D, Bobba K, Meta C, Karri S. Presternal Thyroglossal Fistula: A Rare Case Report. ABSTRACT The trichoepithelioma is a benign cutaneous neoplasm which is derived from hair follicles. It is common in the face, but there are only three reports of the solitary occurrence on the nose. It is often not recognized because of its rarity, controversial classification, origin and biological potential. The objective of this paper is to present a case of solitary trichoepithelioma on the nose, histopathological examination and treatment. It should be considered as a differential diagnosis of a solitary lesion of nose which is confused with basal cell carcinoma. The confirmation by histopathological examination is essential. Tuberculous mastitis is a granulomatous mastitis due to infection by mycobacterium tuberculosis. It’s a rare entity witch is often confused with breast carcinoma or pyogenic breast abscess because of its clinical and radiological aspect. The diagnosis is histological with identification of an epithelioid cell granulomas and necrosis. The treatment is based on anti-tuberculous therapy with a good clinical issue. Authors report a case of tubercular mastitis in a post-menopausal female diagnosed on adenectomy.

The ectopic tissue of the thyroid gland along the descent of thyroglossal duct is a rare congenital aberration with or without the presence of normal thyroid gland. Single or dual ectopic thyroid has been reported. Three ectopic focuses at different locations are extremely rare. We present a rare case report of twenty years old female who presented with swelling over the anterior aspect of the neck mimicking thyroglossal cyst. Up on imaging evaluation ectopic thyroid at three different levels were diagnosed by computed tomography (CT) neck. Hence surgery was avoided and patient was managed with thyroxine supplement and follow up.
