Diese RNA-Sub typen regulieren Wachstum, Entwicklung und Organfunktion. Ihre Gewebespezifität eröffnet neue, unerwartete Möglichkeiten in der Onkologie. Der größte Teil ihrer Funktionen ist allerdings noch nicht erforscht.
