The need to meet the demands of subscribers of wireless services is imperative to Global System for Mobile (GSM) Communication companies. These demands, which revolve around the maintenance of good network coverage and improved Quality of Service (QoS), depend largely on the nature of cellular network masts. Greedy Algorithm Model was implemented on network masts for small size populated areas to effectively have optimal network coverage. Object Oriented Analysis and Design Methodology (OOADM) and Java programming language was used for its implementation. The analysis of the results shows that Greedy Algorithm performed optimizing cellular network masts hoisting optimally for small populated areas.

Agriculture is the backbone of human sustenance in this world. With growing population, there is need for increased productivity in agriculture to be able to meet the demands. Diseases can occur on any part of a plant, but in this paper only the symptoms in the fruits of a plant is considered using segmentation algorithm and edge/ sizing detectors. We also looked at image processing using fuzzy logic controller. The system was designed using object oriented analysis and design methodology. It was implemented using MySQL for the database, and PHP programming language. This system will be of great benefit to farmers and will encourage them in investing their resources since crop diseases can be detected and eliminated early.

According to Booch, Rumbaugh, and Jacobson (1999), developing a model for an industrial strength software system before its construction is regarded increasingly as a necessary activity in information systems development. The use of object-oriented modeling in analysis and design started to become popular in the late eighties, producing a large number of different languages and approaches. Lately, UML (2004) has taken a leading position in this area.
