Study Results

Work-Life balance has its importance from ancient days and the concept is very old, from the day the world has been created. There was a drastic change that has occurred in the market of teachers and their personal profiles. There are tremendous changes in various families which have bartered from the ‘breadwinner’ role of traditional men to single parent families and dual earning couples. This study furnishes an insight into work life balance and job satisfaction of teachers working in School of Villupuram District. The sample comprises of 75 school teachers from Government and private schools in Villupuram District. The Study results that there is increasing mediating evidence in Work-life balance as well as Job satisfaction of teachers are not affected by the type of school in which they are working. Job satisfaction or Pleasure of life will be affected as a whole by Work life balance of an individual which is the main which can be calculated by construct of subjective well being.

Objective - The main aim of the present study is to find the effects of work life balance of the women journalists of south Tamil Nadu on their level of job satisfaction. Methodology/Technique - The data were collected keeping in consideration features such as age, monthly income and marital status. A total of 250 women journalists from south Tamil Nadu were selected for the study. The selected method for sampling in this research is convenient sampling. Data were collected using primary sources, well-structured questionnaire was used. Primary data were collected through questionnaires. The data were analyzed using IBM AMOS 21. Findings - The results conclude that there was a positive relationship between the independent and the dependent variables. The SEM results show that work life balance dimensions are the reliable predictors of job satisfaction. This study concludes that key to work-life balance will fluctuate contingent upon field of work, family structure and monetary position. Individual life and expert work are two sides of a coin which is hard to isolate and structure a wellspring of contention. Novelty - The results conclude that there was a positive relationship between the independent and the dependent variables. Purpose: - The impact of work-life balance on work-related outcomes has been the focus of much attention by researchers in organizational behavior and psychology. The aim of this study was to extend this literature by examining the potential moderating effect of religiosity on the relationship between satisfaction with work-life balance and job satisfaction. Methodology/Sample: - Data from The European Social Survey (ESS Round 6 Edition 1.2) provided the basis for this study (N= 21621). Findings: - Results suggested that satisfaction with work-life balance was positively related to job satisfaction and religiosity fostered the effect of satisfaction with work-life balance on job satisfaction. Practical Implications:- The findings of this study suggest that religiosity holds relevance to a variety of work outcomes. Faith and involvement in religious activities act as a personal resource, making individuals more resilient to cope with the challenges arising from work-life imbalance.

Increasing participation of women and dual career couples into the employment world, together with the establishment of non-standard work arrangements have affected the employees' ability to juggle between work and life and therefore influencing the satisfaction in performing their job especially among those who are working in 24-hour operating companies such in a healthcare industry. Hence, this study among 681 employees of a Malaysian healthcare organization has found that there was a positive and significant effect of satisfaction with work-life balance towards job satisfaction and male workers were significantly more satisfied with their jobs as compared to the female counterpart.© 2016.
