The traditional real-time video surveillance system at smart home tends to occupy a lot of resource .In order to solve this kind of problem, a design of an infrared sensor to trigger video monitoring system is proposed in this paper .The system uses arm9-Linux as the platform ,and infrared sensor as the trigger device and uses the mpeg-4 algorithm to encode the video stream finally .The article mainly introduces how to build the hardware and software platform and tests the feasibility of the system.

It s a design of video server based on embed Linux system. The platform is integrated with boa server, to realize the dynamic interactivity between remote users and web monitoring server by CGI program. Get the live image data by USB cameras, then transferring the image to PC by internet. By that means, the image display can be realized through any PC which is connected to net. The system realizes remote monitoring and image transmission by its own TCP/IP protocol, which promises the flexibility, sharpness and stable property.

The technology is growing rapidly, developments are occurring in every areas including the health care industry. The number of health care centres and super speciality hospitals, etc.. are increasing. People are becoming more conscious about their health. The paper presents a health monitoring system for the acquisition of the physiological parameters such as temperature, ECG, Heart rate and pressure using the Atmega328p microcontroller. The values are displayed on the LCD 16x2 screen and as well as on the webpage created with the help of NodeMCU ESP8266 module. The data can be accessed from anywhere irrespective of the gadget used, only by knowing the IP address. We are using here a GSM module to send alert message to the doctor. The usage of GSM module in the system overcome the lack of obtaining the data in the webpage in the absence of internet connectivity in a particular area, by providing alert message about the present health condition.
