A Study on Development of the Guideline (Draft) for Performance-based Structural Fire Engineering Design in Building Structures
Keyword(s):
A building fire can cause severe loss of life and damage to the property and is regarded as a social disaster. Therefore, employing the fire resistant structures appears to be a potential solution of the stated problem. In this study, the guideline (draft) of the structural fire engineering design, using scientific and engineering methods for evaluation of the structural stabilities in a fire, was developed. Further, by application of the guideline when the desired building is under construction, the rational solution for the improved fire safety and cost competitiveness is expected.
