Gospelise of the Prophet of Islam in the Book of Genesis: A Research Review

Since Adam Alyhis Salaam till Eesa (Jesus) Alyhis Salaam, all the apostles and messengers of ALLAH Subhanahu Wa Ta’Aala, the priests, monks and religious leaders, in their respective times, have kept on informing their disciples about the arrival of last Prophet. They used to declare all his prospective characteristics and the signs of his revelation. They affirmed the arrival of the last prophet by indicating the fact that they find this information in their respective divine books that are the Psalms, the Torah and the Bible (Gospel). The Holy Quran also asserted this fact that the arrival of last prophet is already mentioned in the divine books that were sent by ALLAH Subhanahu Wa Ta’Aala before the Holy Quran. The first book of the Bible i.e. Geneses also testifies that this claim of the Holy Quran is truly valid.

Genealogias em Gênesis

Nos relatos de fé do livro do Gênesis as genealogias têm um papel fundamental. Elas são como fios entrelaçados para nos apresentar uma historiografia patriarcal linear. Genealogias, descendências familiares, giram em torno de Abraão para unir Israel como povo, numa única fé e identidade. O primeiro relato de Gênesis, Gn 1,1—2,4a, termina afirmando que se trata da genealogia do céu e da terra. A partir do capítulo doze, Deus promete a Abraão uma grande descendência que se multiplicaria, na terra prometida, com as Suas bênçãos. O desenrolar da trama é envolvente e historiográfico. Abraão e terra são pontos de partida de uma longa caminhada de fé, escrita e interpretada muitos séculos depois dos fatos. Qual o objetivo de tantas genealogias no livro do Gênesis? Qual é o papel de Abraão na formação das genealogias? Por que ele sobressai ao patriarca Jacó que, naturalmente, seria a personagem principal, visto que é ele que dá nome ao povo? Essas e outras questões é o que propõe responder esse artigo. O caminho a ser percorrido é o da compreensão do livro do Gênesis a partir de seu conteúdo, seguido das genealogias em seus vários aspectos: na formação de povos, na criação, na inclusão de descendentes no ramo abraâmico e, por fim, ao redor de uma sepultura. Os principais autores que embasam a construção teórica são: Jean-Louis Ska, Albert de Pury e Milton Schwantes.

Constructing imaginative geographies in Genesis

This article considers Edward W. Said’s proposals on ‘imaginative geographies’ as suggested in his leading work Orientalism as a tool to analyse the ideological circumstances that shape geographical spaces in the Bible. My purpose is to discuss how these imaginative geographies are present in the patriarchal narratives of Genesis and how they have left their mark on the history of the interpretation of these texts and on the not always easy relations between members of the religious traditions inherited from the Bible (Hebrews, Muslims and Christians). I propose four types of ‘imaginative geographies’: (1) ‘Equalness’ is the way to represent what is considered as sharing the own identity. The geography of ‘Equalness’ defines the spaces of Isaac, Jacob and their families. (2) ‘Otherness’ is the way to represent the ‘Other’ as opposite or juxtaposed to one’s own identity. A common border is shared, thus kinship relationships can be established. It defines the spaces of Ishmael, Esau/Edom, Lot (Ammon and Moab) and Laban. (3) ‘Foreignness’ is the way to define what is strange, odd or exotic considered as external to the own identity, in a space set beyond even the space of the ‘Other’. Egypt is in Genesis a land of ‘Foreignness’. (4) ‘Delendness’ encompasses whatever claims our same space and therefore threatens our survival and must be destroyed (delendum). As such, processes of annihilation and dominion of Israel on Canaanites and Sichemites are justified.Contribution: The article applies Said’s ‘imaginative geographies’ as an identity mechanism for the creation of biblical literary spaces. A quadripartite classification (‘Equal’/‘Other’/‘Foreigner’/‘Delendum’) instead of the usual bipartite one (‘Equal’ vs. ‘Other’) is proposed and the consequences for the current coexistence between religious identities inherited from Abraham are shown.

Se vive en un contexto de incertidumbre; en la globalización, las zonas urbanas se reconfiguran a través de nuevas dinámicas de mercado. Ese mercado se reconstituye y apropia de nuevos conceptos que parecían contrariarlo y que dan génesis a un nuevo sujeto político. A partir de un enfoque geográfico, el presente texto aborda la manera en que las interacciones de género en el Área Metropolitana de Guadalajara se ven establecidas a través de la conformación de la ciudad global y la inmersión de la psicopolítica como ideología imperante en las sociedades de hiperconsumo. Para ello, se recurre al concepto de producción del espacio y se exploran las esferas que este pensamiento promueve como las principales que inciden en la cotidianidad, realizando énfasis en los flujos espaciales que mujeres y hombres realizan en la urbe con fines de satisfacción del ocio.

Independencia del Banco Central

La defensa sobre la independencia del Banco Central ha estado rodeada de afirmaciones que están lejos de corresponder a un análisis desapasionado, más bien es una defensa cerrada a la autonomía existente, como si la única alternativa a esta fuera volver a una entidad supeditada a las necesidades de financiamiento del Gobierno. Debemos recordar que, en su génesis, a finales del régimen militar, 30 años atrás, se enfrentaron los economistas del oficialismo y los de oposición de ese entonces para discutir sobre el tema.
