Aortic dissection is an aggressive and life-threatening cardiac disease that’s highly challenging in surgical operation. Bentall procedure comes with potential complications. How to manage these complications is important when it comes to improving patient outcome. In this case, we present a 41-year-old male patient with iatrogenic aortic dissection. He had aortic valve replacement and repair of an atrial septal defect in 2012. After five years, he suffered reoperation for aortic dissection. A year later, the patient was readmitted for a voluminous pulsatile mass over the anterior thorax, confirming the presence of a huge pseudoaneurysm originating from the left coronary bottom performed during the Bentall procedure. This required a third operation to repair the hemorrhagic site. Pseudoaneurysm is a common complication after the inclusion technique in the Bentall procedure. Effective hemostasis or tension-free anastomosis is important toward improving patient outcome.

Chest wall tumors are uncommon and include a variety of Cartilaginous, bony, and soft tissue lesions. The clinical presentation varies from asymptomatic to chest pain or ulcerating chest mass. Retro mammary chondrosarcoma of the chest wall can present as a painless breast mass and may be mistaken for a breast tumor. A careful clinical examination and relevant investigations are a cornerstone to plan an appropriate surgical procedure.

Abstract BACGROUND: Desmoplastic small round cell tumor (DSRCT) is a rare, aggressive malignancy tumor that often affects the abdomen, especially in males. Extra-abdominal DSRCT is extremely rare. CASE REPORT: Here we report a 33-year-old man diagnosed with DSRCT from pleura without any clinical symptoms. Routine blood examination was normal, and an X-ray examination revealed a chest mass during the routine physical examination. The patient was diagnosed by immunohistochemistry combined with clinical features and imaging examination and finally confirmed by pathology. After the diagnosis, we immediately underwent surgery and postoperative radiotherapy. In the latest follow-up, there was no sign of recurrence. CONCLUSION: Because the disease is asymptomatic at the beginning, it is easy to deteriorate, and there is no specific targeted treatment. Therefore, early diagnosis and treatment are particularly important.
