AbstractA comprehensive study of $$b\rightarrow c$$ b → c weak decays of doubly heavy baryons is presented in this paper. The transition form factors as well as the pole residues of the initial and final states are respectively obtained by investigating the three-point and two-point correlation functions in QCD sum rules. Contributions from up to dimension-6 operators are respectively considered for the two-point and three-point correlation functions. The obtained form factors are then applied to a phenomenological analysis of semi-leptonic decays.

AbstractBaryons with three heavy quarks are the last missing pieces of the lowest-lying baryon multiplets in the quark model after the discovery of doubly heavy baryons. In this work, we study nonleptonic weak decays of triply heavy baryons $$\Omega _{ccc}^{++}$$ Ω ccc + + , $$\Omega _{bbb}^{-}$$ Ω bbb - , $$\Omega _{ccb}^{+}$$ Ω ccb + , and $$\Omega _{cbb}^{0}$$ Ω cbb 0 . Decay amplitudes for various processes have been parametrized in terms of the SU(3) irreducible nonperturbative amplitudes. A number of relations for the partial decay widths can be deduced from these results that can be examined in future. Some decay channels and cascade decay modes which likely to be used to reconstruct the triply heavy baryons have been also listed.

AbstractAfter the discovery of the double-charm baryon $$\Xi _{cc}^{++}$$ Ξ cc + + by LHCb, one of the most important topics is to search for the bottom-charm baryons which contain a b quark, a c quark and a light quark. In this work, we study the two-body non-leptonic weak decays of a bottom-charm baryon into a spin-1/2 bottomed baryon and a light pseudoscalar meson with the short-distance contributions calculated under the factorization hypothesis and the long-distance contributions considering the final-state-interaction effects. The branching fractions of all fifty-seven decay channels are estimated. The results indicate that $$\Xi _{bc}^+\rightarrow \Xi _b^0\pi ^+$$ Ξ bc + → Ξ b 0 π + , $$\Xi _{bc}^{0}\rightarrow \Xi _{b}^{-}\pi ^+$$ Ξ bc 0 → Ξ b - π + and $$\Omega _{bc}^0\rightarrow \Omega _b^-\pi ^+$$ Ω bc 0 → Ω b - π + decay modes have relatively large decay rates and thus could be used to experimentally search for the bottom-charm baryons. The topological diagrams and the SU(3) symmetry of bottom-charm baryon decays are discussed.
