Purpose – The purpose of this paper was to realize a non-destructive examination for printed circuit boards (PCBs) and to obtain an accurate and high-efficient image. Design/methodology/approach – This paper provides an approach to realize a non-destructive examination for PCBs and to obtain an accurate and high-efficient image. Findings – The result showed that cone-beam computed tomography (CT) image PCB detection based on an interactive cutting method had accuracy and high efficiency and can meet the non-destructive requirement of detection. Originality/value – The result showed that cone-beam CT image PCB detection based on an interactive cutting method had accuracy and high efficiency and can meet the non-destructive requirement of detection.
