ABSTRACTBackground: Utilization of age estimation has increased manifold in recent years. Various methods available for age estimation before the complete dentition has erupted and matured till the root closure stage include Nolla’s stages, Demirijan”s method, modified Demirijan’s method by Willems, Haavikko’s method. So, in this study we have tested that on Chitwan population of Nepal.Materials and methods: 60 patients between the ages 6-16 were selected and digital orthopantomographs of each of the patients was taken and then Demerijian method was applied and age estimation done by Willems method. Whereas the chronolical age was known and the reliability of this method on this population checked. Results: The study shows correlation between chronological age CA and estimated dental age DA in males - .965 while in females - .861 and it is statistically significantConclusion: There was an underestimation of age i.e. the dental age was found out to be less than the actual chronological age of the sample. This shows the dental growth lag in the Chitwan  population. It was also found that when a comparison is done between the males and females it is found out that the females mature earlier than the males.

Dens evaginatus is a dental developmental anomaly that arises due to the folding of the inner dental epithelium that leads to the formation of an additional cusp or tubercle on the occlusal surface of the affected tooth. This accessory tissue projection may carry with it a narrow and constricted pulp horn extension. Occasionally, the tubercle easily fractures, thus leading to microexposure of the pulp horn and eventual pulp necrosis. Often, the pulp necrosis occurs at a time the root development of the affected tooth is incomplete. Apexification with calcium hydroxide and mineral trioxide aggregates has been the mainstay of treatment options before root canal obturation in immature nonvital permanent teeth. Lately, regenerative endodontics (maturogenesis) is becoming one of the preferred treatment modalities to manage such teeth. The current case highlights the possibility of a bioceramic material (EndoSequence Root Repair Material, BC RRM-Fast Set Putty™, Brasseler, USA) which supposed to provide apical root closure (apexification) and could also induce continuation of root growth (maturogenesis).

AbstractIf A is a subring of a commutative ring B and if n is a positive integer, a number of sufficient conditions are given for “A[[X]] is n-root closed in B[[X]]” to be equivalent to “A is n-root closed in B.” In addition, it is shown that if S is a multiplicative submonoid of the positive integers ℙ which is generated by primes, then there exists a one-dimensional quasilocal integral domain A (resp., a von Neumann regular ring A) such that S = {n ∊ ℙ | A is n-root closed} (resp., S = {n ∊ ℙ | A[[X]] is n-root closed}).

In this note, we give an elementary procedure for constructing n-root closed integral domains. We then use this construction to give two interesting examples. First, we give an example of a root closed integral domain which is not quasinormal. Secondly, we show that for any subset 5 of odd positive primes there is a one-dimensional affine domain which is p-root closed for a prime p if and only if p ∈ S.
