Diffuse pulmonary meningotheliomatosis (DPM) is reported as a diffuse parenchymal lung disease characterized by disseminating small asymptomatic nodules. These lesions are often detected incidentally as microscopic findings in lung specimens or autopsies examined by a pathologist. We report a case of a 60-year-old male asymptomatic patient presenting with multiple bilateral pulmonary nodules on high-resolution computed tomography and diagnosed by videothoracoscopic surgery. Differential diagnosis of patients presenting with diffuse indeterminate nodules is very important. Definitive diagnosis of DPM requires histopathology and most often videothoracoscopic lung biopsy.

The article analyzes the quality of life of 28 patients with bullous pulmonary emphysema, operated on from the dual-port approach at the State Novosibirsk Regional Clinical Hospital over the period from 2017 to 2020. The assessment was performed using the SF-36 nonspecific questionnaire and the San Diego University Shortness of Breath Questionnaire (UCSD-SOBQ). The study revealed a significant improvement in the quality of life of patients operated on from a redual-port approach.

The subxiphoid incision has been widely used in videothoracoscopic surgery in recent years. This minimally invasive technique allows to reach both lungs from a single port. With the future development of the surgical instruments required for the technique, it is expected to become more commonly used. Herein, we report the first case of bilateral pulmonary metastasectomy performed with a subxiphoid single incision in Turkey.

Primary mediastinal cysts are rare, congenital and benign lesions originating from various embryological tissue types. However, it can present with similar clinical and radiological findings at almost every age. We present this case to emphasize that two separate mediastinal cysts originating from different embryological origins in different compartments of the mediastinum are extremely rare and that these cysts can be simultaneously resected by videothoracoscopic surgery.
