The paper presents the results of studying the effect of electrical impulse therapy on the psychoemotional state in 60 patients with moderate type 2 diabetes mellitus with peripheral sensory polyneuropathy. A comparative double-blind, placebo-controlled study of the inclusion of neuro-like dynamic electroneurostimulation in the rehabilitation course was carried out. By the end of the rehabilitation course in patients of the experimental group, a decrease in the initially high indicator of situational (reactive) anxiety according to the the Spielberger — Khanin State Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) by 1,6 times (p = 0,014) and an improvement in the functional state of the central nervous system according to the WAM test were recorded.

The incidence of oncological pathology in Russia and throughout the world is steadily growing, and the mortality rate is not decreasing either. A large number of locally advanced and neglected cases of cancer of various location are revealed. Treatment of these forms requires polychemotherapy (PCT). The study included 52 patients with oncological pathology of various location: head and neck, stomach, large intestine, they underwent adjuvant chemotherapy according to the PF, TPF and FOLFOX regimens, which include an infusion of 5-fluorouracil for 2–5 days. The study analyzed gastrointestinal toxicity according to CTCAE, version 4.03, 2010. It was revealed that the addition of the probiotic Biovestin to meal reduces gastrointestinal toxicity by 2 times compared with the control group and reduces the risk of interruption of the PCT course by 19 % due to the development of side effects. Thus, the addition of the probiotic Biovestin has shown its effectiveness, safety and simplicity of use in the prevention of gastrointestinal disorders in cancer patients under conditions of PCT.

The results of the study of the electric pulse therapy effect on the state of neural conductivity and microvasculature in 60 patients with moderate type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM2), accompanied by the peripheral sensory neuropathy, are presented. A comparative double-blind, placebo-controlled study of the inclusion of neuro-like dynamic electrical stimulation in the rehabilitation course was carried out. By the end of the rehabilitation course, the patients of the experimental group showed an increase in the velocity of excitation propagation along the tibial and peroneal nerves, restoration of the impaired spontaneous activity of deafferentated central neurons at the spinal and cerebral levels, and an improvement of basal microcirculation indices.

Chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) is a progressive, long-lasting and often irreversible condition characterized by pain, numbness, tingling, and sensitization to cold in the hands and feet that affects 30 to 40% of patients undergoing chemotherapy. This leads to disability and a deterioration in the quality of life of patients against the background of the absence of tumor progression, representing a serious side effect of treatment. There are certain clinical risk factors for CIPN, but none of them accurately indicates the severity and possibility of developing the disease in oncologic patients. Prediction, early detection and monitoring of side effects of chemotherapy is of great importance in the treatment of cancer patients. Further research in this field will make it possible to correctly and effectively plan and carry out treatment and rehabilitation arrangements using preventive technologies.

The increase in the incidence of colorectal cancer cannot go unnoticed. The number of patients with its complications in general surgical hospitals is growing steadily. The main ones include acute intestinal obstruction, bleeding, tumor destruction with paracancerous abscess formation or perforation. This limits the possibilities of carrying out the radical treatment of oncoproctological patients significantly, and reduces the number of resection interventions considerably. The incidence of postoperative complications in emergency patients is statistically higher than after elective surgeries. The most fatal is the failure of the enterocolonic anastomosis, usually requiring relaparotomy and often colostomy. With regional tumors, combined interventions are necessary, a prerequisite for which is the availability of trained specialists. The article presents a clinical case of performing a major surgery with a positive outcome for complicated colon cancer in a hospital on duty.
