The hybrid HVDC with cascaded multi-infeed MMC inverters is proposed in recent years and it will be put into reality in near future. But the control characteristic of this hybrid HVDC have not been discussed in details. This paper investigates the control strategy characteristic of the hybrid HVDC using cascaded multi-infeed MMC inverters. By combining the UI curves (the DC voltage and DC current curves) of LCC rectifiers, LCC inverter and MMC inverters, the complete UI curves of the hybrid HVDC are obtained in different control modes. Through the complete UI curve, the characteristic of the control strategy is investigated in different operation situations. It is found that the MMC inverter in DC voltage control could shift to the rectifying mode if the fault occurs or active power orders are intensively changed. To solve such problem, the coordinated control strategy based on the dynamic limiter, diodes and LCC-MMC active orders is proposed in this paper, which can not only prevent the MMC inverter from becoming a rectifier at DC side but also can improve the AC side voltage stability. Nevertheless, the proposed strategy can further endow the MMC with fault ride through abilities. The simulations in PSCAD software verify the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.

The ( 2 × 2 ) (2\times 2) matrix conjugacy problem (the Riemann–Hilbert problem) with rapidly oscillating off-diagonal entries and quadratic phase function is considered, specifically, the case when one of the diagonal entries vanishes at a stationary point. For solutions of this problem, the leading term of the asymptotics is found. However, the method allows us to construct complete expansions in power orders. These asymptotics can be used, for example, to construct the asymptotics of solutions of the Cauchy problem for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation for large times in the case of the so-called collisionless shock region.

This article analyzes contemporary gender representation and perception in Kazakhstan’s public sphere and the sexualization of social media required by the market economy. Through the example of a female social media influencer, Aizhan Baizakova, and her ambivalent public success, it analyzes gender and sexuality as the product of contradictory power orders: the traditional patriarchal system and retraditionalization in the name of nationhood, on the one hand, and the Soviet legacy of putting women into the labor market and the post-Soviet capitalist logic, on the other. It explores how women find themselves caught between two forms of illiberalism: a market-driven one pushing for evermore provocative online content and a conservative backlash in terms of gender roles.

Let Z be a complete set of Sylow subgroups of a finite group G, that is, for each prime p dividing the order of G, Z contains exactly one and only one Sylow p-subgroup of G, say Gp. Let C be a nonempty subset of G. A subgroup H of G is said to be C-Z-permutable (conjugateZ-permutable) subgroup of G if there exists some x ∈ C such that HxGp = GpHx, for all Gp ∈ Z. We investigate the structure of the finite group G under the assumption that certain subgroups of prime power orders of G are C-Z-permutable subgroups of G.

Let [Formula: see text] be a finite group and [Formula: see text] a subgroup of [Formula: see text]. We say that [Formula: see text] is an [Formula: see text]-subgroup in [Formula: see text] if [Formula: see text] for all [Formula: see text]; [Formula: see text] is called weakly [Formula: see text]-subgroup in [Formula: see text] if it has a normal subgroup [Formula: see text] such that [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] is an [Formula: see text]-subgroup in [Formula: see text]. In this paper, we present some sufficient conditions for a group to be [Formula: see text]-nilpotent under the assumption that certain subgroups of fixed prime power orders are weakly [Formula: see text]-subgroups in [Formula: see text]. The main results improve and extend new and recent results in the literature.
