Assessments of Economic Policy in 2020

The article describes how the managers of Russa's industrial and agricultural enterprises (the Russian Econimic Barometer's respondents) assess the governmental economic policy through the end of 2020. The author presents the data on the proportion of managers who comprehend and approve of this policy and on the high priority measures that they consider necessary to stimulate production.

The 2020 Surveys of Industrial Enterprises: Results and Forecasts

The article presents the results of economic activity of Russian industrial enterprises in 2020, and provides forecasts for 2021. In general, for the major part of the surveyed enterprises (REB‟s respondents) the year 2020 turned out to be not worse than the previous year and judging by several parameters it was even better. Forecasts for 2021 became noticeably less optimistic than they were a year ago.

The article outlines the trends of 2019 – the first half of 2020 in the field of investment behavior of enterprises. The following aspects are examined: the level of investment activity both in terms of equipment purchases and total capital investment; the rating of factors limiting capital investment; the main sources of funds for investment and principal motives to invest; the features of borrowings from banks to finance investment.
