The first analysis of media with internal structure were done by the Cosserat brothers. Birkhoff noted that the classical Navier–Stokes equation does not fully describe the motion of water. In this article, we propose an approach to the dynamics of media formed by chiral, planar and rigid molecules and propose some kind of Navier–Stokes equations for their description. Examples of such media are water, ozone, carbon dioxide and hydrogen cyanide.

The rotational spectrum of the hydrogen cyanide dimer has been observed in the frequency range 26-40 GHz by using a Stark-modulated microwave spectrometer. Although the spectrum is very weak, even under optimum conditions, it has been possible to assign vibrational satellites in the v β progression based on the ground state and in the v β progression based on v σ ═ 1 with the aid of the computer simulation of spectra and the ground-state spectroscopic constants.
