During the last four decades entrepreneurship research has established itself as a legitimate area of enquiry, which requires a concentrated and coordinated effort towards studying the context in entrepreneurial activity. In doing so, it is understood that entrepreneurial teams form the core of most start-ups at some point of their new venture journey. Furthermore, three crucial aspects of this vital unit of analysis (entrepreneurial team) are trust, conflict and diversity which shape the ultimate success of a firm. This paper presents a contextually developed research agenda based on a critical evaluation and synthesis of findings from literature pointing towards an integrative approach of viewing the three topics viz a viz team entrepreneurship.

Entrepreneurial teams assign equity positions in their start-ups using a term sheet that details equity splits and the conditions for being granted those splits. The design of equity split agreements has attracted considerable attention in the entrepreneurial community, with no convergence on a single preferred contract form. This paper experimentally examines the effectiveness of different contractual arrangements, focusing in particular on the effects of contract form and contracting timing on founder effort and on the value of the venture. Our results suggest that performance improves with the incentive strength of the contract, but they question the conventional logic that this effect is causal. Instead, we suggest a novel causal sequence. Rather than the contract form being the primitive and the behavior the derived consequence, our results suggest the reverse. The differences in contract performance are driven primarily by the sorting of high contributors into nonequal contracts and of low contributors into equal contracts; that is, equal contracts are bad for team performance not because of their incentive strength but because of the founder types that adopt them. Taken together, these results suggest that both investors and founders should pay as much (or more) attention to personality type as they do to contract form. O aumento do acesso às tecnologias de informação e comunicação, o desenvolvimento da inteligência artificial, do aprendizado de máquina, da robótica, da biotecnologia, da internet das coisas, da internet dos serviços e uma variedade de inovações advindas do emergente ecossistema de start ups oportuniza a ampliação da oferta de serviços de telemedicina e telessaúde, em diferentes formas e especialidades. Neste cenário, há que se utilizar, da melhor forma possível, essa variedade de tecnologia para promover as melhores práticas, as mais seguras e as de melhor alcance à população alvo, por meio de serviços estruturados de teleassistência, telediagnóstico e teleducação, evitando-se encaminhamentos desnecessários, aumentando agilidade na entrega de resultados de exames, no agendamento e nas consultas com especialistas, diluindo-se a taxa de hospitalização, dentre outras. Toda essa tecnologia pode assumir valores expressivos do ponto de vista financeiro, o que pode impactar tanto positiva quanto negativamente. A expectativa de quem investe é também gerar economia de recursos com a utilização de tais ferramentas, a fim de alcançar sustentabilidade do serviço. Este artigo tem o objetivo de levantar e analisar a literatura produzida nos últimos cinco anos, sobre a sustentabilidade de serviços de telemedicina e telessaúde no contexto da assistência, assumindo a perspectiva do provedor de serviços.

Una start-up es definida como una empresa destinada solucionar problemas de maneras no obvias, donde el éxito no está garantizado de antemano y, solo en los casos de éxito efectivo, se adquiere un crecimiento rápido y significativo (Robehmed, 2013). Ejemplos clásicos de start-ups serían Facebook, Uber o AirBnB que, con comienzos modestos, pero con ideas innovadoras, se convirtieron con el paso del tiempo en empresas de ingresos millonarios. Una de las tantas preguntas al respecto sería la siguiente: ¿cómo lograr una start-up de éxito a sabiendas que el éxito no está garantizado a priori y, aún más, que la gran mayoría de estas fracasan?
