The effect of chelating agents Diethylene Triamine Penta Methylene Phosphonic Acid in bamboo kraft cooking was studied. The results show that the bamboo pulp yield was 49.52% when DTPMPA dosage is 0.4%, at the same time the Kappa number was lower. With the increasing of DTPMPA dosage in bamboo kraft pulping, the bamboo pulp strength was increased.

The effect of Diethylene Triamine Penta Methylene Phosphonic Acid in bamboo kraft cooking was studied. The results show that the bamboo pulp properties are optimal when DTPMPA dosage is 0.4%. The optimal properties are as follows: the kappa number is 16.4, brightness is 37.8%, and the screened yield is 41.9%.

Polynuclear copper(II) derivatives of 1-hydroxyethylidenediphosphonic acid (HEDP), 1-aminoethylidenediphosphonic acid (AEDP, H4L),α-aminobenzylidene diphosphonic acid (ABDP, H4L), 1-amino-2-carboxyethane- 1,1-diphosphonic acid (ACEDP, H5L), 1,3 diaminopropane-1,1,3,3-tetra-phosphonic acid (DAPTP, H8L), Ethylenediamine-N,N'-bis (dimethyl-methylenephosphonic) acid (EDBDMPO, H4L),o-phenylene-diamine-N,N'-bis (dimethylmethylenephosphonic) acid (PDBDMPO, H4L), diethylene triamine –N,N,N',N',N"N-penta (methylene phosphonic) acid (DETAPMPO, H10L) and diethylene triamine –N,N"-bis (dimethyl methylene phosphonic) acid (DETBDMPO, H4L) have been prepared in aqueous medium. The general formula of derivatives from elemental analysis was found to be Cu2L.XH2O (in case of AEDP, ABDP, EDBDMPO, PDBDMPO, DETBDMPO), Cu5L2.XH2O (in case of ACEDP) Cu4L.XH2O, Cu2H4L. XH2O (in case of DAPTP) and Cu5L.XH2O (in case of DETAPMPO). The electronic spectra have shown them to be six coordinated with slight distortion from octahedral geometry. Antiferromagnetism was inferred from magnetic moment data. Infrared spectral studies were carried out to determine coordination sites. EPR (Electron Paramagnetic Resonance) spectra that supports the presence of tetragonal distortion and antiferromagnetic behaviour, have also been studied.

The inhibition efficiency of a phosphonic acid, Diethylene Triamine Pentamethylene Phosphonic acid (DTPMP) in controlling corrosion of carbon steel immersed in an aqueous solution containing 60 ppm of Cl-has been evaluated by weight loss method in the absence and presence of Zn2+. The formulation consisting of DTPMP and Zn2+has excellent inhibition efficiency (IE). A synergistic effect is noticed between Zn2+and DTPMP. Addition of sodium gluconate (SG) enhances the IE of Zn2+and DTPMP system. The DTPMP-Zn2+-SG system function as a mixed inhibitor as revealed by polarization study. AC impedance spectrum, optical and atomic force micrographs reveal the formation of a protective film on the metal surface. FTIR spectra reveal that the protective film consists of Fe2+-DTPMP complex, Fe2+-SG complex and Zn(OH)2.

Facing at the situation that a large amount of BaSO4/SrSO4, which seriously impacts on oil production operation scale, has been yielded during oilfield production, three kinds of scale inhibitor (TS-09, TH-60 and PBTCA) were collected from oilfield for comprehensive evaluation. The results show that the three kinds of scale inhibitor have certain scale inhibition effect to BaSO4/SrSO4, and the influence of different water quality is obvious. When TH-60 concentration was 100 mg/L, its inhibition rate to BaSO4 has reached 95%. In comparison, scale inhibition effect of TH-60 to BaSO4/SrSO4 is better than the others. TH-60 is more suitable for Huaqing oilfield than TS-09 and PBTCA, concentrations range in 100-180 mg/L especially.
