A probing signal represented by two successive radio impulses having the same amplitude, but different energies is suggested for application in pulsed nonlinear radars, while for the receiver it is suggested to perform either correlation processing or optimal filtering of each of the reflected signal components at the carrier frequency. Due to the fact that the response of the optimal filter is proportional to the energy of the pulsed signal, the response levels of the two impulses reflected from an object lacking nonlinear properties will be equal. Should an object have nonlinear properties the response levels at the optimal processing device output at certain moments of time will be different thus indicating that a nonlinear object has been detected. Since the energies of the probing signal components are equal and optimal filtration is performed when receiving the reflected signal, this ensures that the noise interference equally affects the error while comparing levels of the received signal components. Depending on the error magnitude it is necessary to select upper and lower limits of the amplitude uncertainty within which response levels can be considered different. Decision about the presence of the nonlinear object is made if the difference in response levels goes beyond these limits. Suggested below is a block diagram of a decision-making device based on a successive correlation processing of each of the received signal components where the response level of the correlator at the moment when impulse ends is stored until the time when the decision is made i.e. when the second impulse ends.

Abstract Some industrial processes have nonlinearities and large delays. This causes instabilities and many difficulties for the system tuning. This paper presents tuning of a fuzzy PD controller for a nonlinear object with a large delay and an integrator in its structure. The simulation and respective results shows that the presented options assist for much better and easier system setup.

For the strong coupling problem of three-phase bearingless induction motor which is a multi- variable and nonlinear object, a kind of decoupling control strategy based on inverse system method is proposed. The reversibility of torque subsystem was analyzed based on rotor flux orientation, and the decoupling control strategy based on inverse system method was analyzed. Then the torque system was decoupled into two second-order linear subsystems, i.e. the rotor speed subsystems and the rotor flux subsystems. The suspension system adopts negative feedback control; the required air-gap flux linkage of torque system was obtained from the rotor flux and stator current. Finally, synthesis and simulation of the overall control system were researched. Simulation results demonstrate that good performance of decoupling control can be achieved. The presented control strategy is feasible and available.

The most common issue of a speech signals analisys and artificial intelligence systems development is determining of temporal and frequency charactristics. That’s because any undetermined signal is defined as a nonlinear object. But it is always possible to select time interval from the signals with a given discretization period. Such an interval is called quasistationary interval. The quasistationary interval in combination with the speech signal quality characteristics can be used to build a parametric model of the speech signal. As a result, such a model will be very helpful for solving different issues of artificial intelligence development processes. In this paper the method of an initial segmentation of the speech signal via quasistationary intervals by threshold deviation of algebraic specifications of elementary areas is presented. The latter method of automatic initial segmentation is based on pseudorotation of symmetric matrix of distances and evaluation criteria. The problem and process of selection the quasistationary intervals are described in the section 1.

Focusing on electric automation with the reactive optimization for power system which is a nonlinear object with multiple variables and constraint conditions, the paper presents an optimal method based on Taboo Search and Genetic Algorithm, which inherits and develops the advantages of multiple search and high robust performance of Genetic Algorithm, and the high climbing ability of Taboo Search to improve the convergence performance and speed. The simulation for IEEE30 node system proves that the method introduced in the paper is appropriate and efficient in the field of electric automation.
