With the rapid development of the new concept of energy internet, electric power systems often need to be investigated together with thermal energy systems. Additionally, to reduce pollution from gas emissions, it is very important to study the economic and emission dispatch of integrated electrical and heating systems. Hence, this paper proposes a multi-objective optimization dispatch model for a microgrid (MG) with a combined heat and power (CHP) system. This CHP-based MG system consists of a CHP unit, a wind turbine, a PV system, a fuel cell, an electric boiler, an electric storage, and a heat storage. It can exchange electricity with the distribution network and exchange heat with the district heating network. Minimum economic cost and minimum environmental cost are considered as the two objectives for the operation of this CHP-based MG system. To solve the two objective optimization problem, the multi-objective bacterial colony chemotaxis algorithm is utilized to obtain the Pareto optimal solution set, and the optimal solution is chosen by the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution method. Finally, numerical case studies demonstrate the effectiveness of proposed model and method for the optimal economic and emission dispatch of the CHP-based MG system.

Uncertainties with respect to different load characteristics and operating conditions have significant negative effects on the performance of economic dispatch control for the participation in automatic generation control. However, the uncertainties have been neglected in classical economic dispatch control. A low-carbon and economic dispatch problem considering a load uncertainty is formulated and solved as a non-linear constrained multi-objective model in this paper. The problem additionally takes into account the real power loss and system equilibrium. The multi-objective bacterial colony chemotaxis optimization algorithm is used to obtain Pareto solutions. In order to strengthen the practical low-carbon and economic dispatch problem, an adjustment strategy of the unit output in real time can be provided by a new technique termed the optimal coordinated operation space-domain. Finally, the model and algorithm have been implemented to the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers 30-bus test system. The simulation and analysis results demonstrate that the model and algorithm can provide a scientific method for dealing with multi-objective decision problems in a power system.

With the increasing development of clean energy technologies, the application of new energy and carbon capture technology would have a positive effect for CO2 emissions reduction. In this paper, planning of power system model including clean energy technology facing low carbon targets established, considering the carbon emission rights allocation and carbon trading. By studying coal-fired power plant planning model with wind power and carbon capture technology for the future planning period, establish the multi-objective model of minimum comprehensive cost and biggest carbon trading gains, considering constraint conditions of power generating capacity, wind power integrated capacity and carbon emissions reduction targets. Use the bacterial colony chemotaxis algorithm for optimization calculation of the power planning, to give a planning scheme that can meet the requirements of economic development trend and emission reducing requirements.
