The 64Zn(γ,n)63Zn cross section has been measured over the energy range Eγ = 20.43 to Eγ = 21.94 MeV using monochromatic γ rays from the T(p,γ)4He reaction and detecting the resulting positron activity. The γ rays were monitored by a 23 cm diameter by 23 cm long NaI crystal. The positron activity was determined by a coincidence detector consisting of two 7.6 cm diameter by 7.6 cm long NaI crystals set on the annihilation radiation photopeaks. The γ-ray energy resolution was better than 110 keV over the whole energy range. Structure, although reported by other experimenters, was not observed.

We measured the 9Be photoneutron production cross section σ(γ, T, n) = σ(γ, n) + 2 σ(γ, 2n) + σ(γ, pn) in the energy range from 17 -25 MeV with quasimonoenergetic photons from positron annihilation in flight. In contrast to experiments of Thomas, Crawford and Thies (1972) and Hughes (1973), performed with bremsstrahlung photon sources we found no pronounced structure in this energy range.
